Indeed and me too. So impressed tonight with the energy, the quick moves, plus the tactics. I just hope we get that striker we badly need as it could make the difference if we stay up or go down. It was great to see the players really behind the manager at the end. I know I said it was toxic last week but apparently the whole squad had a massive heart to heart at the end of the week with the management team.

Considering we are bottom of the league and we don’t pay a great wage compared to many others I think we are lucky he’s interested. Akpom is pretty raw and could do a great job to help keep us up. Toney is delivering for Brentford so why can’t this guy? If it fails then at least we have someone that knows the championship next season and would help take us back up again.

Regarding the KWP rumours, they even said on the stream I watched at the weekend that he’s not signed a new contract yet. I suppose some are putting one and one together. I personally think he will go in the summer as he’s too valuable at the moment and we need cover at right back plus I personally think we are more solid with KWP at left back.

The problem we have is you need to pay over the odds for someone so early in the transfer window. I can’t remember the last time we bought anyone in the first week as we are bargain hunters. Once players move from one club to another it puts another player down the pecking order and these are the ones we target. (Otherwise known as cheap shit) Very rarely do we get in a bidding war with players as the wages we offer are pittance compared to what other clubs offer in the end. Basically we will sign some players around the 3rd or 4th week of this transfer window because our mindset is small and plus we don’t have any decent players worth selling at stupid prices like Brighton are receiving these last few years.

I’m pretty sure we should have someone coming in pretty quickly who could score us some goals. Take that Adams chance we had yesterday, and the Salisu free header etc. Someone with an eye for goal would bury those and give a lift to the whole team. Also bringing Tella on around the 70th mark will give us that second energy we are lacking. Tick tock!
