Interesting as the new ball is 15 overs away so we will get to see how it plays. It’s becoming an easier batting wicket so the win favours Surrey who need it more than us. I say get to lunch with at least a 280 lead and hope the likes of Pope has a go in the afternoon. My prediction. Hants 40% Surrey 55% Draw 5%

Heard a rumour he offered the outside to a tanker and was still outpaced. Shocking defending yesterday but then he didn’t think he would have a dolphin between the sticks flapping one away!

Okay next up it’s Arsenal. At last we have an easier game after taking on the likes of Leeds, West Ham and Palace and not scoring a goal. Reckon we could get our largest win of the season if we could just have a little luck in front of goal. If we could keep Jesus, Saka, Marinelli, Partey, Xhaka and Odegaard quiet by tight marking them out the game then I can’t see them getting a shot on target. This has got 4 nil all over it and Elyounoussi and Walcott with 2 each. PS - I hope Ruben Selles really goes for it with a lovely attacking and flowing starting line up. Up the Saints as this season has been one of the best in memory!
-
Stupid to bat first with our bowling attack. Could have bowled them out for less than 150 and then built up a slow reply.
-
Totally agree. Start strongly get a lead so we have something to defend especially when the crowd are behind us. win 2-0 It’s more than likely we will set up to to not concede and then after doing just that we chase shadows against two banks of 4 and get hit on the break to lose 2-0 Far too predictable!
-
That’s exactly it. Newcastle attacked West Ham and put 5 past them. Palace attacked Leeds and put 5 past them. We had a lame set up and never scored against both of them. So whatever Selles is doing is not working. Please have a go!!

Anyone planning on going next week? Thinking next Friday if the weather improves. What’s the best way for parking anyone?
-
The BBC report this morning which I think is misleading. Newly-promoted Nottinghamshire ended the day on 146-6 - with a lead of 100 on a pitch that is not getting harder to bat on.
-
100 behind with 4 wickets to get. Happy with that.
-
Maybe it’s time we used the shitty away dressing room as the bigger and better one is clearly not working. We have the worse home record for the last two years in the football league.
-
Pusey is no longer stroking them in this season.
-
Saints stay up then you carry on collecting your 90k a week. If relegated the likes of Lavia and JWP will move on and collect 200k plus a week. Its a no brainer for some players if we get relegated don’t you think?
-
Injured I believe.

‘Nurse get the white coat.’

(1) So no Walker/Peters, Half a game for Walcott and Lavia. (2) The strikers won’t score from shitty floating crosses. (3) Elynoussi, Adam Armstrong, Mara and Diallo will probably play some part of this game. (4) Kane, Richarlson & Son love playing us. (5) We are utter shit at home (utter shit away too) (6) Played on Wednesday while Spurs are rested. (7) We have not scored more than 2 goals at home since 1998. 2-1 to Saints!
-
Might as well play with 9 men, if Elynoussi and Diallo picked.
Pilchards replied to Andrew Watson's topic in The Saints
Starting with 9 players against a team who have never lost a game in the premiership after scoring first. Brainless twonk whoever picked that starting line up, even the players who took to the field thought we are fucked too. -
Brentford have never lost a game in the premiership when scoring first. Okay let’s put our two good players on the bench and play with 9 first half. Why not start with Walcott and Latvia and take them off to defend a lead if we attacked Brentford from the off. Fucking amateurs our club!
-
Not listened to the presser but I would keep the same starting line up as previous matches. ABK looked to be struggling last game so its Salisu in for him. To freshen it up he must get S Armstrong, Maitland, Edozie off the bench first. Adam Armstrong & Maru should get on the pitch sometime but hopefully only during the half time kick about. THIS IS MASSIVE TONIGHT!
-
The players are slowly getting some confidence back thanks to having a better manager. I just wish he had some better squad players to bring off the bench as this is what is going to bite us.
-
A point gained but any other team in this league would of got 3 points with UTD being down to 10 men.
-
Not from me. Che holds it up well while Paul can’t even hold his own Willy.
-
Players lacking real confidence from both teams. Dreadful game and we got luckier than Leicester on the day. I’m surprised how easy it is to carve our team in half, lack of man marking plus our attacking play is desperate.
-
Complete wanker apparently.

Wilcox won’t work with him so IMHO he has to go.

In your dreams, we couldn’t even beat an egg.
