I want a striker that we can take into the premiership who can start banging in the goals. Example - Toney Would be amazing to get in Mcafee, replace that Genk winger for Tella if a suitable big comes in. That leaves us with wanting a demanding CB and that Bristol City one looks quality.

Wilcox probably sat through all the matches from January onwards and thought this Adams bloke has got to go. Slap 15m on his head as he’s on a one year contract. Turning out that he’s good in the championship but your options are limited because he wont sign a new contract. Just make sure the striker coming in is proven and will hit the ground running otherwise you may of pissed this seasons promotion opportunity away.

It’s great to read that RM has convinced some to stay on after he swayed them. My guess is its Alcarez and Smallbone. Long shots Stephens, Stu and Adam Armstrong. The likes of Che Adams & KWP are on too heavy wages and the club probably needs them gone. Real shame as they are good for this division but IMHO terrible in the premiership.

WRONG! I told you in May that we need to offload 21 players and I have a very, very close source. We will get close to that target when Adams, KWP, Tella, Sully, Tall Paul, Mccarthey, Simeu plus some other squad players move on. (If we get the price that is set) I also told you that we had approached Nathan Jones way, way before he was even mentioned. I never even heard of Jones myself when I told you guys. Pie in the sky?!? Yeah right! I will also add that we took an interest in Carrick as the new manager at the start of the season but he was not interested in leaving the north. Have no idea if we offered him the job.

I know many of you are going to hate this but I did tell you that any player will leave if the correct price is met. Che Adams gets 3.1M wages a year plus win and goal bonuses on top of that. If we bought Piroe he would cost £624k in wages a year. Piroe would have a good sell value from his 4 year contract and he would be hungry to reach the premiership with us. This is very much the Brighton model which we are now starting to copy. Who’s next to leave the club? Everyone basically because they all have a price. Is Russell Martin happy about this? I doubt it but this is why he was brought into the club to be part of the rebuild. Out with the overpaid and in with a mixture of cheap and youth. And that is why I said we won’t be targeting promotion this season (my own personal view)

If the right offer comes in for Che then that is that he’s off. With him able to leave on a free next season then it’s a no brainer to get a good striker in as a replacement. I’m confident to say it’s going to be Piroe. Personally I wouldn’t want Che wearing a Saints shirt in the premiership ever again as he’s fucking shit. Some of those misses from 3 yards out were embarrassing.

Remember when everyone went mad on the first female lines person. Probably a female centre referee somewhere in the men’s game. I think some of you need to stop being sexist. If a top football league club wanted to hire her then good luck with it. I certainly wouldn’t stop supporting my team if it was us.

I honestly think she could do a better job than Southgate. The men’s squad is at its strongest that I can ever remember and still we haven’t won a trophy with him.

Previous directors of football at our club would have sold Livermento for 25m, Lavia 35m tops and JWP probably 20m. Yes he’s certainly getting us top dollar and I still think it’s going to continue if and when we sell others.

Like I said Wilcox has proved to be a genius in this transfers window and I trust his judgement. Rather him than a reject Holgate. My personal choice would be Bristol City’s CB. Touches of Van Dijk about him.

If Wilcox rates him then I’m pretty sure we will get it done. What’s 18m if you can sell him for 60m+ in two years time?

Like I said a few days earlier. Every player has a price and if a bid reaches that price then the player is free to go if they choose to do so. The club are not holding anybody back even if they are bloody good.

Sell on fees? If in 2 years time Saudi come knocking on the door for the top clubs better players for sums of 200m + then I say sell on fees are good.

I see Dom Ballard got a hatrick for the academy today. This guy certainly has an eye for goal.

Mara has done it once, nobody else can do that. Haaland is a genius at it.

I know a lot about Piroe and he will be a star signing for us. Remember that goal Mara scored against Man City in the semi final, where he created his own space? That is the sort of player he is. Nobody else in our team can do that. Also he can create a yard when facing a defender by getting his shot away. Adam Armstrong is awful at this. Reminds me of Ricky Lambert and I’m hoping he is the guy coming in for Che who will clearly be off soon if a suitable offer come in.

Just praying that nobody comes in and meets the price they have put on Alvarez head. 25M is a bargain! If only we could get a keeper that can make saves like Niemi did, a decent centre back, right back plus a striker when Adams leaves.

I remember a bald headed guy celebrating a goal by jumping out of his seat and someone behind planted their front teeth straight in the back of his skull. Had blood everywhere and to make matters worse he would turn up to future games to remind the bloke behind him the scars on his head.

I joined an online Saints group called the Old codgers. If my memory is correct we arranged a meet for tea and cake at a cafe as we had Pompey and that all pubs were shut. The police turned up after a tip off as they thought we were a fighting cult meeting for a punch up. They saw the funny side when seeing us! Great days
