The first question asked to our new manager was 'How long are you here for?'
His answer was..... 'I hope a long time but I could get the sack after a great result like Pardew & Adkins did, so I shall make sure we don't beat Everton too well on Monday as I could be gone by Tuesday.'
So many strange things have been going on behind the scenes and Adkins often said some weird things.
I believe Adkins is relieved he is no longer working for Cortese now and probably glad to get a chance with another big club.
I know Adkins will miss us fans though as we adored him.
It was strange when Adkins said about Forren signing for us,
'I don't know as you are asking the wrong guy?'
Some strange answers which can suggest he is not part of it.
So could this lead to better players coming in?
Could well do and I hope Cortese does the right thing in bringing two top class players in to drive the club forward.
Goalkeeping, it's been shambles from start to finish.
At last it's sorted but I pray he stays injury free.
The positive surprise is Fonte, never did it last year as Jos took over but boy has he been brilliant this season.
He flew in and had talks with Liverpool last night & he's heading down south for talks with Saints this early afternoon.
Its still 50/50 IMHO but it could come down to who offers him the best deal or first team football.
Once the rot sets in then it's hard to stop it, Norwich & Newcastle are having a wobble & so could West Ham.
So the answer is they have every chance of relegation.
He's not match fit and he comes across as a player that will play if it suits him.
Shame he's not a typical hard British player who would play all day long.
