Got me thinking why Virgil started his strop in the first place. Being made captain you would think he has sat down with someone and discussed the plans forward. I've seen loads of videos during the pre season and our attacking players are hitting the back of the net quite frequently. Then you start watching some pre season friendlies and the standards of our goalkeeper before you realise it's them who make our very own look good in training. 5 year contract ha ha.

I think I've worked out the problem we have at the moment and it's really simple too. Everytime we have a great player we sell them and replace them with someone who is average.

2 things. First one it signals to the other players we will back down in the end. Second, We will not bring in 2/3 bloody good players because we don't. Probably buy average players to develop and sell for a profit or another squad player to fit in with the others.

Thoughts so far after 3 per season matches. Austin is not a natural no 10, if only we could buy a class one. Peid pretty good going forward and not as good as Soares in defending. Taggart has done well so far. Boufal and Bertrand work well together. Not sure Clasie and Long will feature much when you only give them 15 minutes to impress today. Finally our defending can be shaky sometimes as they lack organizing and composure.
