I'd imagine he's pushing to get more game time after his illness and injuries. A few minutes off the bench here and there isn't really going to help him.

Agree and this is how I've always seen Stephens, a decent leader and good back up for us but no more than that. He'd probably be in most starting 11s in this league apart from say the top 5-6 sides.

Well, it's pretty bonkers that anyone would think Stephens is a better option at right back than KWP. So you'd assume there's another reason behind it.

Well if that isn't the case then I'm concerned that our manager thinks Stephens is the answer at right back.

Russell Martin has done a really good job since we lost those 4 games in a row but surely he has to sack off this obsession with shoehorning Stephens into the side. The back 4 has been totally settled and we were keeping clean sheets for fun. Why change it?

We seem to have a real issue holding onto leads away from home.

I don't think he's being instructed, I think he's concerned about getting too close because of his lack of pace and ability to defend 1 Vs 1.

It's a shame he can't defend because he's actually got a really good left foot on him.

It's an obvious change for me. Adams on for Stephens and KWP back to RB where he is best. Arma back to the right hand side, where he is best. Let's get the players in their best positions please, Russell.

Just not a fan of Stephens at RB and KWP further forward. It's just to shoehorn him into the side. I don't think he's good enough for that to be the case.
