Thought Caulker did alright. Made some good tackles and won most of his aerial duals. Passing was ok but his mobility worries me a bit. I wasn't keen on this 4-1-4-1 formation we played though. Especially when you had Reed holding and JWP and Juanmi in front. Just looked non existent in the second half at times. Felt this just isolated the striker aswell which made Mane look even worse up top. Looked better when JWP sat alongside Reed and Mane went behind jrod.

Koulibaly can play right back and DM as well if needed.

He looks good on the ball but hard to judge his defensive abilities in a game like this.

I'd take Caulker on a season long loan as a replacement for Gardos but I'd still hope we'd be after a top centre back to replace Toby. And as others have said I'd prefer we'd just try to get 1 top quality centre back and allow 4th/5th spot go to Stephens/Turnbull. Dunno if I'm being too greedy thinking we need another DM aswell.

I'm not sure it's a great signing. Scored 4 times and 3 assists in 19 games the Greek League. He's nearly 30 and has a pretty poor injury record. Not sure if this is backup to Yarmolenko or not.

If he is our number 1 target then I'm sure we'll be doing everything we can to to sign him up. The club will have their targets and it's blindingly obvious that a centre back is their priotity, but for a club like us to get top quality players when competing with bigger clubs is a big ask.
