The sad thing is that he is a club financial asset, I think he cost 10m that will be written off as surely we wont get £1m for him. I feel sorry for him but I wouldnt want him in goal for us ever again. He nearly cost us promotion under Martin, who was lucky that he got injured and had to put Macca in. Macca improved our defence and helped us get promotion (although not sure if that was a good thing in hindsight!!)

I listened to Total Saints Podcast talking about this game and all were confident we'd win. What surprised me that none factored in the players not wanting to miss out playing at Wembley and so may not be quite so committed to a tackle etc to avoid injury. It is quite understandble if they had that mindset
