It is a combination of loss of confidence and perhaps not liking IJ and his manner. He was obviously close to RM and he and perhaps Fraser are missing him a bit much. I truly want Downes to fit in as he could be good, but he does seem to have lost pace and bite

seems Downes doe not have the heart for us now. He really has been a disappointment this season

If you listen to last niights Total Saints podcast, you would have heard Alfie House (Echo) explaining that Sam only has about a year of his contract and so probably will run his contract down. Therefore take the money now, letting him go on loan will not help us as we will be paying wages and then he can slip off for nothing a few months later. Him and Meghoma came at the same time and we will have made about 20m for us.

Well the punishment would not be in the season you overspend. The ultimate idea for doing thiis is to stay up the first season back. Once achieved we would likely be in position to absorb a 10 point penalty and re establish ourselves. It seems to me that if you play by the rules you wont survive in the PL. A constant yo-yo if you're lucky. The yo-yo is all well and good but once the yo-yo elastic snaps you may slip into Championship obscurity for decades or worse. Im not saying we should do it but may be something to consider

I truly believe that any person who comes forward with correct info is always appreciated and applauded, the standing in a secret huddle and giggling is not so lauded. I doubt you lot have any real sources apart from the media, if you do good luck as you only come forward to take the acclaim is after the news is broken in the media. When I had a true source at the club I gave pretty accurate info, as long as I had the green light. I told people of Kelvin Davis signing, Morgan and others at the time. Ok it was not weeks before but usually a day before. Anyway this thread does add to my enjoyment when I can tease Turks, or others. Keep the light hearted part going, I do miss it
