  1. Don't take Hypo to heart Mullet, it would be best that you keep posting so that we get a variety of views.
  2. Hughie, I think you will find that Hypo and Trousers are Forum buddies.
  3. Apparently the WHU fans are loving it on Twitter
  4. Pontypool by the look of it
  5. yep Press association reporting we have opened talks with him. Oh it was so fruitful getting rid of Puel
  6. Press association reporting we have started talks with \Hughes
  7. why are you getting so precious , you didn’t worry using the word cretin earlier
  8. lets hope the club get on with appointing him then.lol Its not about 2 candidates or shouldn't be.
  9. well I much prefer him to return than Hughes be our new man
  10. Speak for yourself lol. If I was one of the other struggling clubs fans and saw last night that we had sacked MP, I would have thought oh s*** and not slept well, then today seeing Hughes was likely to be the replacement I would have slept well again tonight. If any of the other clubs around us had taken on Hughes I'm sure most would have laughed
  11. Ok who wrote that statement, it had to be the Clubs PR people, with the We March On at the end.
  12. well we bloody should do. If we hire Hughes on a 3 year contract and his presence no difference , we then are stuck with him as the club will not want to buy him out of his contract. It is a mess, we need someone who can deal with here and now but also be able to steer the club if we go down. Hughes alreadyhas a large percentage of the fanbase not keen on him, imagine if he doesn't get a response!!!
  13. its not odd, it just shows that some think about the future as well as here and now. Hughes would only be marginally better IMO. His only advantage is that he is different to MP, and just might get the plyers to play a bit different for a couple of games. I'm not sure he is a 2 up front man, and doesn't seem to have the personality to get the players behind him. Anyway the big plus is tht Robbie Savage will be talking us up for the rest of the season, until he gets anti Hughes callers lol
  14. Well if you set your standards as low as Mark Frigging Hughes it shows you aint that smart either. You are right that the club should have changed months ago. Look at the resume of Hughes I pasted above. Not much to set the heart pumping. If he comes then I will back him as I have no choice but I don't expect any real uplift
  15. http://www.whoateallthepies.tv/transfer_talk/164241/top-xi-worst-signings-of-mark-hughes-managerial-career.html https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mark_Hughes
  16. There is no doubt he is better than Pellegrino, but to have to take Hughes on!! I doubt he would be interested in a short term deal, and so we could be saddled with him long term. And yes Iwould prefer Kelvin to Hughes (short term) as he has a real passion for the club. IMO he would shake things up
  17. Before you call people a cretin, you ought to think how you have come across in this. You have lauded his appointment this whole thread.
  18. Please tell me what he will offer us?
  19. its pretty clear you are delighted with Hughes. You see things in him I and others don't. It is not about would you prefer him than Pellegrino, as patently we would want most others than him. The thing is I don't see Hughes as a motivator. He is a very quiet and reserved man, not a chest thumper. I know it is left field but I would try Tim Sherwood. He has some PL experience, is good at bringing young players through and also is a good man manager.I know there is not a chance of him coming but at least he is not one of the ususal suspects.
  20. If Jeremy Wilson is saying Hughes then that's who it will be
  21. I would prefer Kelvin as he loves the club and has a steely side that many do not realise he has. He would not put up with underperformers, as I have posted on here before he had 2 of his teammates by the throat at halftime, as he said they didn't care enough.
  22. Hughes will bring us nothing that we didn't already have. He was a great footballer for Man Utd but was poor for us. He showed little fight when he played for us. IMO he will be a damp squib. Sadly I think we have left it too late anyway. You may be pleased with him, but to me it is just recycling another failure. Lets review this at the end of the season if he comes.
  23. from ecstasy to depression within 10 hours. Hughes FFS.
  24. Really, how is that been kept quiet but also why act so late if that is the case
  25. Hughes isn't very inspiring for me personally. Not sure he is one to put a bomb under them
