that is so Jake and the Pirates

Pep obviously thought he was decent. Put him with a good coach and he could become a good player. Sadly like Puel the fans have made it difficult
-
their midfield was mobile and decent yesterday. However good our midfiled would have been, it wouldn't have stopped the long balls. Hence we needed Yoshida. Whether taking off Boufal was the right one, that is another argument, but it could only be him or Tadic at that stage
-
time will tell. Pardew has got them playing and sadly they are hitting form just as we are to play them. The decision to sell JRod is not why we are where we are, it is down to the complacency of the board. It must be 2-3 years that we have been needing another good forward and we have failed in that position.
-
that's the good thing about the internet, we can all be James Bond
-
yep that's why we win the league season on season. You just command the midfield and get the result. Of course our players in midfield are so much better than theirs as was shown when they came to ours at the start if the season
-
I agree, I'm all for equal opportunities but not for the sake of it.
-
to launch an aerial assault you don't need too much control, you just need to lift the ball high into the penalty area, whether it be by throw in corner or free kick, or just lump it up there. When Watford came to us at the start of the season their midfield totally destroyed us. I'm not advocating MP as a good manager, but we have gone past the point of no return this season. The club buying the forward who seems to have been the managers choice surely says he is here to stay and so we have to get behind him and the team. The players seem to be giving him their backing by the performances recently. If they wanted him gone they had their chance against Spurs. Tadic is he had the final ball or could finish would be worth £50m
-
that's a tad unfair, he comes on here when things are tough on them, not like the others. Anyway could anyone give us an update on their promotion push. I only have Sky and all the other terrestrial channels, but not the Disney Channel to watch and so don't hear about their progress.
-
And when we had to defend the long throws corners and free kicks??? He had to react to Watfords changes, they didn't score and we won. Job done. If you were watching the manager he was signalling for Tadic to push up alongside Long to give us 2 up front. Even top team come under the cosh when 1 up in cup games
-
What number was he? I thought the handball expert was pretty good, but he seemed to have the cleanest shirt I haveseen on a player, even at the end of the game
-
I see Puel looks to have to have found a diamond from the French 2nd div, he does look an exciting player.
-
for someone who thought Pelle was useless I suggest you are a busted flush when talking about forwards lol
-
can you post up the games he scored those goals in. I recall the Sunderland one and the Bournemouth one, cant recall the others.
-
I think you are wrong. Yosh came on in about the 60-65th minute, don't tell me we didn't make an attempt after that (although with our shooting!!)
-
it will get to the point where you wont bother celebrating a goal until VAR has said yes
-
or prejudice clouds clear thought. I think it may be a mixture of both
-
I'm not sure what you are getting at, this week he brought on Yoshida to counter the extra attacking threat that Watford brought on. The away game he didn't use his subs and that was not brave but reckless. Hopefully he has learnt. He was on the sidelines constantly coaching the side, is that what he normally does???
-
not a scenario that we are likely to see. lol
-
Watford brought a massive forward on, he was basically a 6ft 3ins lump of muscle. So bringing on Yoshida was sensible. Sadly with a couple of minutes left you expect Yoshida to use his experience and not give away soft fouls just outside the area for them to pump the ball in. Luckily we scrambled the ball away before cedric gave a throw away that left them to nearly score in the last second. Overall I thought we were head and shoulders better than them. Again we squandered multiple chances, but we did play some good football. Both wingers played well, Shane gave it all, and the midfield did well. Romeu seems to have put a lot of timber on
-
His lack of pace was telling. He looked energetic and won a header. I wish him luck but I was hoping for a taller and zippier forward
-
we still created chances when he took off Boufal, the fact is that we made numerous chances and failed to take them. Watford I agree, were allowed to come at us but they would have done that anyway as they had nothing to lose. It was a brave decision that worked. Watford were dire and perhaps we had a lucky escape not getting Silva

sometimes you can be kicking your heels too long. Zlatan and the lino cost us us
