  1. Can somebody explain to me why the British govenrment are so keen for Scotland to stay with us. Surely as they are heavily subsidised by the English would we not be better off? I personally admire the Scots and they have been fantastic brave allies in the past, I dont admire their leaders though
  2. it doesnt come overnight, and whilst you believe it is very successful the constant selling of star players takes its toll on fans who lose interest. Getting to cup finals cements fans support, actually winning something adds anotehr tranche of fans. Finishing 12th may seem fantastic to some but that will never get the stadium full. A sustained period of challenging and getting close to finals or winning is the recipe needed. We have cemented our place in the PL (again) and so we will see if we kick on or be satisfied with mid table year on year
  3. where do I write him off, I have posted every time in support of him. He is a class player and will become a very important player
  4. all this assist stuff is a little misleading, I suspect Redmond has been a major part in the build up to goals. He is developing fast and is at least shooting from range, ok they are not coming off at present but....
  5. thats nawty lol
  6. Pickford is IMO going to be like so many young English keepers over the years. Hyped up and will be just another keeper in time. Richard Wright was one as an example in the past who looked good while young and then became just an also ran. Anyway I wouldnt want to risk having our goalkeeping coach lt loose on a promising keeper

There we have the BBC advertising the Gary Barlow musical on prime time tv and it apparently turns out the winners only get to be on the chorus line at best. Thats a way to spend our licence money.
  8. Checkatrade.....well the last owners wouldnt have made it in to that
  9. I'm not sure about Steven yet but he did well yesterday when the Watford forward was running on goal and he shepherded him away and took the ball off him. Has VVD done the same we would be drooling about it

why has this become a left or right wing thing? Do the BBC really need more money to slop around. Surely they could cut some of the slack and become a tad more efficient. The news department is massive and I recall Huw Edwards presenting the news from the rooftop of one of the buildings in the city, and a helicopter filming him. Why ????
  11. I listened to most of the second one and found it easy listening. To be very successful you need not to be so measured and be controversial and be right arses like Savage or Danny Baker lol. Perhaps you should do interviews with some of the fans on here, Alpine , Heisenberg, etc. they would get reactions and perhaps the listening base would grow as they want to scream at the telephone. Im sure Duncan Holley would like to give some input as he could give insights to things (not that i know he would, but Im sure he would do so)
  12. 12 more points I would think, so no chance of overtaking Everton or WBA
  13. No doubt they will put forward TCWTB for musician of the year as well
  14. It would be nice if the officials actually came out and apologised. The decision had a major impact on the result, it was a major mistake that effected a lot of people.Wayne Shaw lost his job eating a pasty, what will happen to the linesman ?
  15. why would RK want to go to Barcalona? They werent the first club to have dug outs

its great but they have too much money to burn. Top of the pops from the World Cup FFS
  17. ...
  18. there was a brave one who threw a punch at him and missed, probably it was Alan Biley
  19. He must be mad!! I remember in 84 quite few Saints fans had got tickets for the Fratton End.
  20. Mourinho made a special effort to shake his hand when he left the pitch. He also mentioned his finish in his interview. I suspect he will be monitiring the situation
  21. his style is incisive short and quick passing as well as counter attacking. At present he has not got 'his' team in place. No team plays superbly every game and watching Liverpool last night with one of the 'best in the World' coaches, it shows it is not always easy. I am firmly behind Puel and as I stated some months ago he may become our best ever manager. This is quite a statement, I could never make the same when RK was in charge, although I quite liked him. Give him some time, the way he showed the world how Southampton play should give him a lot of slack by the dis believers. Stop chipping away at him and you may well see some exciting times ahead if KL etc are true to their word
  22. Forget it, you seem a sensitive type of person who lets them upset you. The reason they will do it is because it looked impressive. They will probably get to Wembley for the play offs this season and they will be able to hold their telepnones in the air if they can get enough cable
  23. The beautiful football we play at times is down to Puel. Imagine how good on the eye we will be if he is here for 2 or 3 more seasons.
  24. I saw it on the Saints fans group on FB
  25. well considering the Man Utd fans didnt bother to get into the ground untl4.20 I doubt you saw many saints fans. Listen to your manager, yep the Special one who actually knows about football, he praised the fans of our club for making the day. Can you please tell your fellow fans that it wasn't Mannequin challenge day, only at the end of the game when you realised you had got out of jail was they any movement in your fanbase. Anyway, you will be able to go wallow in the pride of a city you dont come from, for winning a competition. Funny how when you talk to Man U , Liverpool fans they always say they didnt start supporting the club bacause they were winning things. They come up with my dads grandads best mate saw the newspaper after Munich
