You do exaggerate, march through the streets lol. Posting the happiness of being also rans sends the wrong message. It seems we both have poarised opinions on this and so you live the dream of being 6th
-
Yes you carry on picking and choosing to back up your lack of ambition. If you wish to focus on clubs much smaller than us, I will choose clubs bigger than us and to point at Chelsea and Man City who also were in the lower leagues, I doubt their fans relaxed or showed their undying love as they were finishing 6th or worse. There is no magic bullet but lets have a bit more ambition than 6th.

i think you can see the folly of the buy British by your reply. I fully agree with the Brexit regarding the politics in Brussels but the thing that effects all our lives is the economics, and we have shot ourselves in the foot.
-
Block 34 you did a great post the other day btw, I think one of us is misunderstanding Daleks slant in his post. To me he is being ironic, and I found it amusing

thankyou for those 2 quotes you posted as they are spot on. Who finished 6th 7th or 8th 3 years ago , 5 years ago 10 years ago? When I was a kid I knew every League and Cup winning team for each year from 1969. I had the forlorn hope our name would be amongst it in the future, luckily I saw it once. IMO fans accepting 6th as some kind of miracle is doing us a disservice. Do you not see that trumpeting 6th sends th message to the club that we will accept little? Yes winning the the league is a dream too far, but it is better to ask for that than to accept 6th is the glass ceiling. As we all know now the glass ceiling was Champions and the club missed that opportunity by sending the come and get me message.

your apology is accepted

I cant see that there is much left to buy. A much reduced stadium, a squad worth little and the items of value from the Boardroom and were saved from the skip dont belong to them anymore
-
Buy British Johnny? What would that be ? Insurance, some cars, houses, and beer. Commodities all come from abroad and they will be 10-15% dearer, the British companies will have to pass that rise on, or a major part of it
-
There are many complex issues though. IMO the clubs policy is to buy and sell on. We are basically a shop window for players to look good at SMS in the PL so they can step up to bigger clubs where they can get CL football and trophies. The agents like us, the big clubs do also as we have road tested the player to a degree, and all sides get large financial reward. The advantage to the fans IMO, is limited to watching players progress and develop in our colours before leaving for what they believe greater things. Many are happy to accept it whilst they see 6/7/8th positons in the league. On this occasion I think the club should accept a decent fee, as he is an ageing product that will need replacing probably at the end of this season or the middle of next.

im making the observation, that is all. We are in a phoney war at present, a kind of suspended animation as we are still in and will be for 2 years. Once the button is pressed people outside the UK will then have to make their business decisions. That is when we will see how Brexit will effect us. Shortterm as in the next few months the devaluation of the pound will of course start to show up in the food basket/fuel prices and any building materials we use. The devaluation will of course have its upside as the Footsie 100 will go up and our exports will be cheaper and so we will sell more abroad, how that will help the person in the street Im not sure.

fair comment but it would be a concern.

Surely you dont believe we would go for him? His sulky and unsettling behavior would make the Black Box flash red
-
the celeb socialists, you only need Emma Thomson for the full set.
-
again, they I assume are the agents who rent off of the provider. Do Sky etc put their own equipment in or is it an agency connected to the PL who then supply it all? The point being if Sky and BT pull out and if theyprovide the cameras etc there wont be any stuff to stream.
-
we havent pushed the btton yet. I suspect we will see more as people see what the deal ias likely to be. Inflation will start to rise as the 10% devaluation of goods brought in start to bite. People and businesses will have less money and belts will be tightened. Your salary in the Navy will be squeezed although as you are under water a lot of the time and not shopping it may not effect you the same.
-
Ok but who provides all the cameras etc etc? Surely if it is Sky/BT then if they pull out we have to go back to the BBC and the streaming would stop
-
Is having the support of Billy Bragg a good thing???
-
I dont watch streaming and so it is all new to me, but who provides the cameras and editing etc, or is it just like someone holding their telephone up?
-
surely if you dont have Sky/BT you dont get streaming??
-
Is it the football computer games that make people on here know all about these foreign players? I have never heard of them, but I do only really follow the English league
-
It seems unfair to me that they play on a different type of grass than they do at home, real grass is where proper bestest football is played on. Oh does anybody know if they got their clock back ?
-
And so you couldn't find references to PR and Spin, lol, and then say you haven't twisted my words
-
I agree, we have to give him time, and like LM another unknown he might do us well
-
you can play with my words if you like CB, I don't celebrate finishing 6th like yourself , I might be the only person in the world who thinks that aiming for 6th/7th/or8th is not quite enough, that actually winning a trophy is not odd. Do you think at this moment in time had the ST sales started now we would sell out, or do you think that the belief that we may push on might have had something to do with it? No if you read my original post again I said 20years but one of your band of merry men cut it down to 10 years. Please could you also point my post where I mentioned PR and Spin?

selling the players who get you off your seat due to excitement is not the way to expand the fanbase. It has been said that the fans in the Asian market are nt loyal and will happily change the club they follow
