  1. If Puel is an underwhelming choice for the fans, how will the players think? Koeman was obviously a world name and even if the young players hadnt heard of him they soon would have been told of his reputation. As for Puel and Black, surely a copy of Garde and Black but Garde had a better record
  2. just seen this on Facebook, quite good
  3. I personally dont believe its meltdown but major disappointment. Is there some kind of badge of honour because you say can say we have sold our best 3 players and managers for the last few seasons? When people see me they say 'Youve just sold XYX I notice.' and then carry on with a patroniing tone but 'havent you done well' I would prefer them to say comment 'Did you have a great day at Wembley' etc etc etc. So from my standpoint it is a case that however much money the club sells a player for I dont get any of it. I can understand Katrina and Co dancing with joy as their investment has gone u again, but as a fan why have a shirt with a players name on, or even let them become a hero as no sooner as you adore they leave. Iam too long in the tooth for it now, but i recall my fears and ultimate deep sadness as i watched my childhood heroes leave , Ron Davies , Mick Channon etc. It must really be sad for the young fans now as they see their heroes for a season or more before they are gone, at least I had 5 or so seasons to adore my childhood heroes

At the end of the day none of those players are the absolute stars at their clubs. They need the foreign players around them to help them tick.Although I suppose Kane and Ali are at Spurs. Sturridge as a winger??? Kane taking set pieces ???? Taking off Dier who added strength to our midfield against the strong and athletic Icemand players. Has Hodgson actually had a proper post match iinterview? If not why havent the FA made him do one instead of skulking away. We as fans last night needed answers
  5. the only sustainable growth is Katrinas bank balance. We are a cash cow and whilst we are delighted to finish 7th and think that is some kind of achievement it will carry on. At least the club dont have to employ a cleaner for the trophy room.
  6. I agree that is a heartening read.
  7. some dinlo ex-servicemen who were posting on my FB
  8. pulling out of Europe will not get more jobs in the North East etc, surely it will make things worse. Making politicians pay is all well and good but on this occasion!!!1
  9. I do know that, but in thier minds it was a British victory, much like Dunkirk was not just British defeated and becoming a retreating rabble
  10. yes, extra civil servents do. We need wealth creators not more public servants
  11. I shudder to think how many more civil servants we will have to employ to get all the paper work dealt with. There goes the savings in one fell swoop
  12. but you just told us that we werent going to be at the back of the queue!
  13. Im sure it was stated on the news this mornig that Obama reitieratd that we would be back of the queue in trade negotiations. I
  14. The EU will make our departure so odious that no-one else will attempt it. Look at Juncker and you can see Sepp Blatter, both so ruthless and obove the law in their minds they will wreak havoc on us. Junckter is a burocrat he doesnt have to worry if Germany sell a few less cars by upsetting the Uk as he has a gold pension. He will make sure the Brits regret the vote for ever. Well done all those who quoted Waterloo and giving it to those pesky Europeans but sadly in my opinion it was not a Waterloo moment but Dunkirk at its worst
  15. In the last 12 hours I have spoken to 2 clients who both employ multiple staff,( over 30k)and both are now activily looking to move operations one to Europe the other to USA. They like myself cannot believe we have voted leave. I accept the vote and will get on with it as I cnat relocate abroad, but people who have business interests that are mobile will go elsewhere. 'Fu== them' I hear you say but remember they are not jobless like the staff will be. Our economy can only withstand so much of small businesses upping and going. Depressing, and i still cant believe this has happened
  16. I recall Rupert being loyal to staff, enter Stuart Gray and we know where that led to
  17. Cant be us as his name doesnt start with a P, we were assured that the surname starts with a P:)
  18. been watching the stock market, it was up over 100 poits but is now creeping down to half that. Do the City think that the vote is not as expected or are they just profit taking??
  19. I expect that they earn more from the ads. Perhaps that is why they have not been adjusted. I suspect people are moving across to Sotonians as it really is frustrating if you are not logged on
  20. I wish my mum had backed her car into Victors a bit harder now!!!
  21. Personally I feel there will be a conclusive vote in favour in staying at least by 10%
  22. it only works well if you log in. It must be the ads that make the difference

if there were only 16 teams we wouldnt have the Welsh story or N.I
  24. why call people dumb just because they want a different direction than yourself??? No doubt your position is swayed by self interest and people who wish to leave have their own interests. Iam mostly in the remain camp but am not foolosh enough to see some of the plusses if we did leave. Staying in is not all a bed of roses, voting in and the powers that be have us by the short and curlies and can go forward with some odious laws if they so wish. I am in the in the remain for economic reasons
  25. How many people of independant minds would want to have to answer to Les Reed? That will cut the applicants down lol
