  1. Kelvin had the opportunity to join West Ham n the PL but Cortese persuaded him otherwise
  2. Lol , yep stay on your feet like all the best keepers have done. Of course Vardy would have just rolled the ball into his arms. Reading the posts on here i come to th conclusion that most on here have never kicked a ball. Just go out on a five a side game and see how hard it is to stop a modern football wi pace and power. I heard fans say that the 2nd goal was down to Kelvins poor kick out, (I wasn't at the game) but the snippet I saw was that the ball was kicked to the halfway line the ball was put into an area where we had 2 midfielders and one Leicester player and their powder puff attempt allowed the Leicester player to release Vardy ( not sure where our defence was?) who then had a free run at goal
  3. I think you missed Rallyboys irony there
  4. I went past a wedding in Portsmouth and didn't realise til then that the wedding march could be played on banjos
  5. thank-you underlining what i said about you. The comedy gold is your post, and for all your bluff and bluster all on here will see you for what you are. No doubt there will be caustic retorts, it is expected of you. Bash away and give it large, after all you are the legend in your own mind. I have not bothered with your posts for some time now but your claims needed to be countered. Franks Cousin and SOG will no doubt answer for themselves, perhaps you will spend time playing with their posts to try and get an angle. I know you will not find posts of me saying we are a massive club with massive fanbase, I suspect them same will be with FC and SOG. i will await the attack
  6. of course you will be able to back up those claims with quotes as evidence. It would be so unlike you to make statements that were totally made up now would it?
  7. i don't think people are saying he is one of the best in world football, that must be Ronaldo, but Rooney and Costa have gone long spells without scoring, MLT Shearer Lineker went periods without scoring. your dislike or because you made statements about him have forced you into a corner and so feel you now have to not rate Pelle
  8. It has also been reported that the reason Pompey get high attendances as the spectators like to experience the novelty of inside toilets
  9. I went onto Amazon to buy a ticket to watch Pompey and it said other customers from Amazon who purchased a ticket also bought a long length of rope and a stool
  10. totally agree, he gives his all. Sadly there are fools around who cant see what he gives us
  11. personally I thought the ref did OK, it looked a penalty in realtime and a weak ref could have taken the easy option by giving it.A massive call. i was moaning about him booking ours for 1 foul and Ramires not getting booked until his fourth. The ref wasn't looking at the the shirt pull to be fair. I feel he is not a bad ref
  12. lol, it still could be a relegation 6 pointer
  13. I wonder if some of the old threads about him are going to be brought to life lol
  14. Pompey have got away with real punishment. I always felt the only true punishment for the glory would be to have lost their stadium.Others disagreed, but the stadium is their gods end as it is their attendances and a place of focus that keeps the fire burning for them. If they did not have FP they would not now be getting the crowds and income that should sweep them up to the CHampionship. 5 or so years of pain for an FA cup win etc is well worth it in my opinion, we had that for no glory
  15. Salisbury, I stand in with the inter city firm there lol
  16. Fair play, and of course you also added another record soon after, Portsmouth went down to the Third Division in 1961 (the first former English League championsto do so)
  17. It was the nations and creditors FaCup win, sweet FA to do with Pompey
  18. oh no this means another justice campaign and minutes silence as the Scoucers are being victimised again
  19. Who didnt challenge in the jump for the ball with Morgan? It looked to me it was Pelle which was surprising. The ball went between 2 Utd players , one who seemed to block our player to let the ball through for Mata
  20. i notice small digs at targett on here. Personally i think he played ok. he has faced some decent wingers this season and seems to me to learning. I was sitting next to a Man U fan and he commented how good he thought he was.
  21. It is the first time I have arranged a game for about 2 seasons (except friendly at the start of season) Things don't change. We never seem to win with Clattenberg, we didn't get the second goal that would have been fair considering our superiority. We sat back and let them play, it all seemed to happen after they put in a couple of heavy tackles. Clattenberg didn't give a card and so they could carry on pulling and fouling without fear of being booked or sent off. I thought Jwp was pretty good until Morgan hit him with a tackle near their box and he faded ( add to that Pelle giving him an ear bashing regarding his free kicks not aimed at him) I was a bit surprised that after setting up the 2nd goal Sadio did not show any emotion or go and celebrate the goal (his head in Manchester?) Targett coped well until he got injured. Romeu taken off! Was he injured? Why Tadic was not replaced As he faded badly after about 30minutes Yoshida's back pass !!! The save by De Gea was one of the best I have seen over the years. It was breathtaking from where I was sitting. Van Dyke needs to work on his pace and strength of heading Sadio and Pelle superb. I was sat near Rodney Wallace and Glen Cockerill (neither cheered our goals) The United fans good but I do think it's funny that when they sing ' only here to see Utd' they really put on a Manc accent.
  22. god it fun reading the apologists on here.
  23. He wasn't all bad then,ol Add academics to that lot and you are talking.
  24. but those players never played at Utd and so why should they. Luke obviously has great affection for our club by his tweet, and he is a decent lad. I hope he recovers quickly and his promise comes to fruition. That would be good for my Country of birth as well. Get well soon Luke,
  25. yes, he certainly took a beating during that test. There had to be underlying reasons why the Windies took the route they did. It was an appalling show of aggression, and in those days they had no helmets. RIP
