  1. Chinese suit you cheeky git, the bloke on Kingsland market assured me it had flown over Milan on its way from Kurdistan. As for your version of the event, the game has to stop to bring a sub on. I didn't notice you change the team around, but I think you will find that it was not tactical nous it was a case Fordy came on who was obviously a higher standard than the rest on offer. I would have changed things but after all, my players rightly said ' I effin paid to play 90 minutes as ( enter the position here)and so f-off I m staying where I am'
  2. their appearances at Wembley are about the same as appearances at the high court or administrations
  3. Hey BP just watched a lot of those clips again and forgot what a blinder you played :). I remember the other keeper Bananaman? was sweeping, pulling off worldies and made the difference. Only kidding, i remember you being pretty good at taking goal kicks and coming to take the ball out of the net, at least our team became pretty well rehearsed kicking off lol. Only teasing, you did well the same as the rest of our team.
  4. Im sorry to hear that, I didnt noticed it impair your performance though, very consistent with the first one:) . There were quite a few injuries in both games, but most liked to carry on playing, like yourself. The ref who sent me off was a bit serious but i didnt realise he had threatened to abandon the game! You hardly had a strop and pointed your finger in his face. Funnily enough he didnt want to send me off as he would have to make a report lol. They even sent stewards down after they had been told there was a sending off!!! The9 did get a right kicking by Hamster, right in front of me it was and the9 was lucky he was not badly injured. It was not malicious just badly timed. I hope your foot has recovered and will be ready for the next game.
  5. I dont agree Steve. Both were good competitive games, of course the first may seem better to you as you were on the winning side (by dubaious means of course lol) It was great that you took the trouble to arrange things and i doubt there are many who watched and played did not thoroughly enjoy. I hope you do it again whether Iam involved or not and would recommend to all. i met a few who disagreed with me over the years but all turned out to be great lads
  6. that would be superb but I think the9 has his eye on that job. I of course would be serving a touchline ban for being sent off last time.(you can find it somewhere on youtube) I think I might play for 45 minutes after seeing the quality on show before.lol I may as well waddle around like most of the others. Dave Ford played a cameo role in the first game and to be fair was a cut above everyone else(don't tell him I said that, as I tried not to be impressed)another ringer that Dubai Phil threw in as another of his devilish tricks. Thankfully justice was done in the 2nd game. If this does go ahead, I would recommend to any others on here to join in as not only is it great to meet the people on here you have a great laugh. If I do play I don't want to be in Phils team as his team talk goes on for 2 hours and after his reminiscence of Ryder cups and his other golf stories it is time to kick off. Oh I would be manager again if there was no other wanting to do it, but playing might show the youngsters on here up a bit,.......how about a walking match then all the old boys on here could play as well. Will be great us meeting again, some old and new faces and even some who don't post on here anymore like Justmike, Hamster,SaintDonkey etc
  7. Can somebody tell me how Dave Watson is seen as such a fantastic keeping coach. Forster came from Celtic after playing some superb games in the League and CL, I have not seen Gazza improve and Stek also. KD was at the end of his career. I watched DW on the pitch and as far as I could see was that he spent more time flicking his dyed hair out of his eyes rather than actually coach, not a speck of mud on his kit at all. If KD follows hm I suspect he has the hardened resolve and dedication to our club to make any keeper work hard to improve. It was interesting watching Carragher talking about how Liverpool miss the old pros at the club instilling the pride and what the club means to new players. My understanding is that KD does that now and the link is not lost
  8. I do understand the fans pouring scorn on the fans showing concern about the chance of the spine of the team again being torn away. it has not happened as yet and of course we have survived the last 2 summers of the same happening. I do have concerns about the complacency shown by many in their replies,do you all really believe this can happen year on year and we can still do well? Add to the players leaving there is a chance the manager might go as well. It went Ok before of course, but what top manager will want to join a club knowing that they cannot really build. I have been told from a very odd source that if RK leaves, his brother will take over.I myself am not sure that would happen but.....
  9. CB is correct in that Burley had quite a lot of resources but he was not the luckiest manager as he had a very dispirited fan base , that were divided as the politics of the Lowe and Wilde situation making the whole match experience not as the managers have the had in the last 5 or so seasons
  10. I agree abotu the hype re Gallagher, i was not one of those but you have not in my opinion been proved right about Targett. If it is true what i have been told about RK's fall out with Reed is true, some was that Reed allegedly wanted to send Targett on loan where RK wanted to keep him in the squad. thsi with a few other issues between the two of them
  11. A superb prospect, and has faced some very good players up against him this season. I think the results with him in front of Bertrand have shown that he is a decent player. Of course on here he is seen in the main as crap, but after reading some of the judgements of players on here over the years im not surprised
  12. can you imagine it on here if we had signed Vardy, Huth , Morgan and co 2 seasons ago?It is great having the academy but buying deent footballers from the English lower leagues ca be good Good luck to Leicester, I wish it was us but a nice change. they rode their luck today. we also need to whip the ball in instead of the little floaty stuff
  13. I would think the bigger problem is the friction between RK and Les, that I have been told about.
  14. you have the advantage of course as you play cup finals every week.
  15. Courtois the Chelsea keeper and General De Gualle
  16. its about time we sorted the sexual tourists who go to Thailand etc to take part in the rape of a nation. A large amount of those children are well below the age we see as proper consent.
  17. So have I, but have also watched in those years fans of other clubs celebrating the winning of silverware. Many being small clubs and even one playing in the 4th division. Finishing 7th 8th or 9th may be a credit but it is nothing that can be painted on a honours board. Just heard on the radio that Jurgen Klopp is looking for a new house 2 up 3 down
  18. well from someone who celebrates the fantastic achievement of finishing 7th 8th or 9th position as reaching for the sky, you no doubt celebrate having a dump. my comments about not selling such important players are valid. You may get the Kleenex out the way the team played in the first half, but I obviously have higher expectations than you. I suggest you go and aim your pointless jibes to others. No doubt you will ring round for the rest of your gang to give you some support. Calling Fry's massive you are needed to help our little playground bully.
  19. underlines why we cannot afford to keep selling our best players. The 2 players most likely to be sold changed the game. Liverpool have 2 world class players, Coutinho and Sturridge. Without those 2 they are just a mid table team.turridge whilst injury prone comes alive in the penalty box. I just knew he was going to score when the ball came to him in the box. VVD Mane and Wanyama superb. Why are our players so nice? They just let Lallana and Coutinho wonder around casually with the ball, as soon as Victor started biting in a bit and JWP also they (especially the Weasel) faded out of the game
  20. I don't think the silver polish rep will be banging on either of our clubs doors Mack, although your trophies are so tarnished that you will need industrial brillo pads to get any shine on your last FA cup. Anyway I think that the weekend has been not too bad considering your assent to glory came to a halt
  21. Pah, they haven't the Johnstones Trophy or most importantly the Daily Express five a side that was live on Sportsnight with Coleman in about 1970, Weve won back the bragging rights there, Mackrill
  22. after nearly 50 years of watching Saints there is only one player who I really dislike. I don't know if anyone else has mentioned him lol Heath
  23. I do agree in that RK's constant tinkering with team selection is a major problem.
  24. Iam truly sorry you have a speech impediment. it must be very rare to have it in speech but also when you write. IMO there is an erosion in the squad quality, and even the whole club.We seem to have stalled. You told us a week or so ago that finishing 7th is magnificent and that was reaching for the stars. Therefore I totally understand how you attempt to pour derision on people who have higher hopes, fantasy perhaps but that is my hope. It is quite quaint to read posts by yourself and Turkish pushing your chests out in pride that we may make 7th 8th 9th and the achievement that is. To me 7th 8th 9th may as well be 12 th 13th 14th. The only people that gain from 9th instead of 13th are the owners who get a bit more into the coffers. Fans criticise Pottechino for leaving but from where I sit he did right a he could see that the club will always sell the best , wheras at Spurs it will take a lot to sell more than the odd player. RK if he has any sense will leave if a decent chance comes along as you can be sure VVD Mane and Victor will be sold. Yes the club will get a load of money in and in turn will spend a percentage. IMVHO I believe the club are taking the fans for fools. As an aside did you happen to hear Danny Holland talking about Sir Les last night? The Charlton players so disliked his training methods etc they went and asked the chairman to get rid of him!!! This was only after a few weeks of him as boss.
  25. keep selling your quality and the whole thing erodes. It is impossible to keep replacing the best players.
