  1. Half their team wouldn't get into our first 11
  2. to be fair 2 of those have spent the last few years scoffing at any posters thinking we could ever make the CL places let alone ML's dream of winning the title. They can only throw childish abuse. Pretty sad that they feel that they can only win a debate by getting personal. i suspect they have many characteristics that we all could be pretty nasty about if we saw their pretty little faces. Im happy for them to take the mickey but dont get personal it is not right
  3. lol, 50 yards from goal and 8 Saints players behind the ball, if you are going to point out every stray pass 50-60 yards from goal !!!!
  4. it was a fantastic result but Spurs were not at the races today. I like to think that it was us who caused it,not their disappointment from the other night
  5. I don't he did mean that, I took it that he'd be here for 2 more years. That would be a fantastic result as it at least gives the club time to how ambition for him to stay longer
  6. When he reffed the Leicester West Ham game it was said he was a Spurs fan!!
  7. Why is john Moss who is a Spurs fan refereeing this game?
  8. well at least you kept your vomit down!!! watching Mcmanaman and co is galling at best. Why the TV programmes is full of Liverpool fans amazes me. I suppose it saves having marches, enquiries and minutes silences in protests
  9. It doesnt matter whether it is 8th or 9th, it was talked upon as some type of magical achievement. The fact is that Leicester did what posters on here scoffed at when they said we could achieve CL.
  10. lol this from the poster who thinks its a tremendous achievement coming 9th. Someone who scorned all the posters (not me as I doubted it as well) who said we could make the PL , a dream that ML and NC said we could achieve.

    Eddie Howe

who do you think is going to sign for us, Messi? Our clubs philosophy is to find unpolished diamonds and make them shine. Players will join as we are top half PL and know if they do well we will sell them to a better club. Howe also finds players from the lower English leagues something that needs tapping. IMO Howe would be a great choice
  12. I can tell you one you wouldn't win either Humble Pie.

Morphed into CB Fry I see. Not a pretty site I tell you, never ever will happen;)

Wanyama is very important to us. A player like him is going to be hard to replace. I suspect he will leave, and I will be disappointed
  15. I think so as well. Although some thrive on the change, you only have to see what Simeone achieves at Athletico. If Saints were top of the league at Xmas and we were offered a fantastic price for our best player we would sell, Im sure of that. We have been programmed to believe finishing 7th 8th or 9th being a fantastic achievement and so selling if more acceptable. I do understand it is hard for us to keep the best, but we shouldnt get bitter when a manager does not wish to see his work constantly being undermined. I suspect Levy ( i dislike greatly) will back him more than he would get here
  16. Plan B nonsense. If you are good you dont need plan B. The problem is that most clubs see Plan A is hoofing it to the big centre forward and Plan B is hoofing it to the big centre forward and also the centre half
  17. he did the correct thing leaving. He could see that we would sell and constantly break the team up.
  18. Will Hughes from Derby. Tidy player and well as creative. Back from a long term injury but a good player
  19. shows how the numbers of us who were there on the day have dwindled now as there are not many posts on this thread
  20. I think you can only block if you have a majprity, and IMO he is correct that the Trust is on the board to help reduce the capital the HNW's had to put in
  21. Ho will only post when he has something to brag about. I told him so when he posted when they were in the PL but as soon as they went down he disappeared. Personally he was fine, he liked his club and wanted to big them up. At least he wasnt a thick head who just screamed Scummer. Funnily enough they all left except Mackrill who is a closet Saints fan
  22. If you are viewing Hillsborough through the eyes of a modern day football fan you will blame the Police 100%. If you experienced the late 60/70/80's you may have a different view on things. Nowadays you can wonder around the streets of most clubs with your teams shirt on and wear scarves etc and have no bother at all. Not in those days. I can remember many Saints home games when the Milton road was just a sea of violence and fights. On more than one occasion the Policwe made announcements on the tannoys warning they would clear the Milton and the game abandoned if the fighting didnt cease. it was bedlam. i was a kid of 8 watching it from the Archers end and was forbidden by my parents to go in the Milton. Football violence was seen in Europe as the English disease and it was shameful. Attendances were dropping and football was in crisis. The authorities had to do something and whilst it was crude it had to be done. The sad thing is that it wasnt the morons who were killed it was innocent fans going to watch their team. The Police were wrong but football fans did make the fences etc necessary at that time.
  23. you're making that up. I dislike the EU greatly but I can see that going out is a massive gamble that we cant then change.
  24. Lol,I put a advert in the window about a Pompey season ticket and it got me a rate rebate
  25. It is a concern that immigation is going to be one of the main reasons people want to vote out. Batmans posts normally are about immigration when talking about Brexit. If immigration was stemmed it seems to me that the IN vote will win massively. IMO only one attack by a rouge immigrant leading up to the vote, could turn it into an out. Scary that our future is in the balance, Iam very non pro EU but believe our future is with them not apart as that is the economic way for the future.
