  1. of course gentlemens agreements dont count if he hadnt done any good. I suggest they have many other loans who went back early
  2. lol, good one. I think though it is not a case of buying but the frustration is keeping what we have already, tried and tested. Since the departure of the 'evil villain' of the peace NC we have made it plain as a club we will sell. Now i know you like to find the Everton situation comical when brought up,but they at least showed the ambition to hold on to their best. I know they eventually sold some of their best but they just seem to try that little bit harder than us. I think the other thing that irks me is that i was delighted to have that wonderful Englishness to the squad, now we wear clogs not boots
  3. Agree, Koeman didnt come here to stay for ever and will not sit there and see his reputation shot. At the end of last season he was seen as some kind of superhero in how he turned a completely depleted squad into a seemingly better side. Now? He showed his frustration the other day about spending, and i cant see the powers to be all of a sudden start spending more than we take in. We are a business model not a football club with true ambition. I agree with financial prudence but it seems to me that we (fans) are looked on as mugs. We were going to spend every penny taken in 2 seasons ago, RK himself has stated that hasnt happened. 'In Les we trust' 'Lets go Wilde' god, some are easily led.
  4. yep Austin is as pacy as the rest of the team and fit right in:) Pace is important throughout the whole team, that is why Mane is such a standout player. I believe he will be gone in the summer although the other night I came to the conclusion that it may well before that
  5. We learnt that our keeper doesnt make saves, I cannot recall a match saving moment We are not fit enough anymore, We do not close the players down (see above) Mane looks as though he is not going to be here after jan Our quality or lack of is really telling There is no energy in midfield its ok having a Black Box and reading the information on it but the clever part is having the right people analysing it. Perhaps Mitchells departure has been more telling than we may have thought The fans were fantastic IMO
  6. RK can see his dreams of being the manager of a really top club in Europe being dashed by our clubs relish to sell. please do not try and tell me had we had Stones and Chelsea had called that he would still be at our club. KL has invested money in our club and has seen a fantastic return on her investment. i have invested 50 years of my life and got back 1 FA cup memory and JPT
  7. Personally which one of us would go and challenge somebody coming to the gate with a bomb strapped to them? The stewards would be powerless. They are trained to take the lids off Coke bottles not to take on hardened terrorists
  8. I think the last part of that is correct as in the squad. MP had the faith to actually bring them on. Sadly that does not seem to be the case now. I don't know if the background staff has changed and so the quality of coaching and giving the players belief is the same. You see the Spurs players coming in as strong athletic types, and then you see ours that look like the still carry a satchel. Our Acadamy has been superb but sadly the conveyor belt has broken down. There are many factors of course but let's hope the talent spotters have not left the building
  9. MP was correct leaving us and joining Spurs. He knew that each season his best players will not be culled and have to completely rebuild. They will become a force and they are now looking a very decent side. I miss our high energy pressing game and our team really don't look to have the same fitness levels as we did when MP was here i also wonder if we had Dele Ali in our sights before Mitchell left for Spurs
  10. We are infidels, whatever you do or say to them you are seen as unworthy and so death is the only way they will deal with you. Simplistic perhaps but you cannot deal with that mindset. All creeds and religions have their idiots who will kill for the only reason, that you are different to them. it is so depressing. Perhaps the only counter is to tell them that when they get all the Virgins they are promised is to inform them that each one comes with a mother in law, that'll sort it
  11. I am a fan of RK but it was blindingly obvious Victor was going to be sent off. Bournemouth had nothing to lose and went for it, and the local derby meant more to them. I don't think we are very fit and as soon as we have a spell when we have to chase we just look knackered, Overall 3 points and we don't have the Cherries giving it a big one
  12. if so i cant see it being worth more than £1m
  13. I know a couple of the people on there and will ask them what it was.
  14. I wonder if the player he has had at a few clubs that he took to Pompey and loan straight out will be culled??? Strange one that,
  15. CB I think that is how I felt. RK had stated he wants to get to Wembley and fires me up thinking that he was up for it and then makes 7 changes. Not as keen as he seems to my mind as it was a risk.Had we fallen a goal behind I suspect we would not have the players to turn that around. As you also concede , we do need our squad players to get some game time and so it is difficult. I hope we play a strong side in the quarters, but from now on the going is touch and go if we can get through the rounds
  16. i think we should contact Sky sports or MotD as their ex proffessional footballers have got it all wrong about Pelle. I think they should get rid of those and put you in their place as you seem to be a much more shrewd pundit and dont miss all the things that Pelle brings to the team
  17. 1. Lallana was terrible 2. Clynne didn't look as assured as he was with us 3. The Liverpool pundits looking glum 4. Matching a squad that must have cost 100s millions 5. Getting a point from a goal down at Anfield 6. Lallana having the indignity of being subbed after only 60 mins 7. Watching Gastons smile and real joy 8. Manes interview, what a wonderful and decent person he is. 9. Ward prowes contribution all ll in all a decent result add Sherwood the smarm being sacked and it's been not a bad day
  18. She should have been disqualified. It is hardly giving us the moral ground when our own our downright cheating
  19. I once donated 10 pairs of Saints tickets on The Saint radio for people who couldnt afford to go....it was as the club were about to go into admin and so it could have been seen as very uncharitable to put them through that quality of football
  20. All the replies to my posts are fair, but the points do not take into account that the ball was 50yards from goal. It was hardly like Yoshidas back pass that immediately left the player one on one, but we had at least 6 outfield players behind the ball at that stage. There was more than one player responsible, reading the match thread it seemed that we were lucky not to concede much sooner. Anyway it's gone now and if we don't finish in the top 4by 2 points I will point at Kelvins terrible kick that went 50+yards for that
  21. No doubt you are correct. No doubt the fans attitude transmits to the players. I agree it is wrong that we have such a poor selection of keepers to choose from, but to blame KD for the 2nd goal on saturday when the ball was in the opponents half and it still was passed twice before it got to the forward is pretty harsh. The keepers lot is a tough one, and KD has had a tough time considering he has been an fantastic servant to the club. Perhaps im too loyal to a player who stayed and helped us get to where we are, many a time i remember him being the motm in the those bad years and so now feel he deserves a bit of slack. he never really got a chance to perform in the PL in his prime and so has been judged when behiond some rubbish defences when he did. One season with a terrible Sunderland side and then a couple of games when Yoshida and Fox were a major part of the back 4
  22. i wasn't there and have only seen a sketchy bit on to, but you fail to mention out 2 midfielders who stood make without making a challenge, when it looked to be in their favour. the ball was over 50 yards from goal and the midfield and defence failed in their jobs. Kelvin has since day one had a large amount of fans not rate him and stood back in the shadows until they can then come forward and stick a knife in his back. He came to us with morons from Sunderland forums much like some on ours telling us he was a goon, whatever he did he was never going to get a fair ride here.
  23. It is amazing that KD kick was so poor that it took 2phases of play before the ball got to the forward to be one on one to score. oh yes and not only the kick being poor, him diving and not standing up straight ( according to to one of the football geniuses on here) was his fault as well. No doubt his kicking and actually being on the pitch has caused the Syria refugee crisis. Cosmics post above is absolutely spot on, Lallana jumping ship etc is probably correct, we would only take loyalty for granted. No doubt KD is now not up to being a PL player but he has never not given us 100%
  24. Batman if you wait long enough any player you dislike will give you an opportunity to make a swipe. I suspect you would find fault in the brazil side of 1970
  25. as for point 2, that is not the reason he didnt join WHU. He was about to sign when NC spoke to him and asked him to stay and be a part of the clubs future growth. i know that for a fact as at the time i had a decne contact at the club
