I believe that the faith fans had that we had this super rich benevolent owner has been shredded. Fans telling me elsewhere some weeks back we didnt need to sell to buy as the owner was going to back us lol. Patently the sales had to cover the spending spree that I have never witnessed before in the last nearly 60 years. Sadly our buyers didnt have the nous to buy before the end of the window in January and were left on the last day trying to buy anyone in Europe who had scored a few goals, hence ending up with Tall Paul. I do wonder that if they haven't learnt, as I mentioned a week or so back if someone last minute offers above the rate for Che last day, we will be again scrabbling to find someone, where we should have bought Piroe whether Che was going or not, as we had the Jan window to sell him, or he would be gone in the summer as his contract was finished. Yes 6-8months of wages but....

Some of he teams so far in the Championship look good. I cant see us killing anything, only my enthusiasm lol

seems we cant buy anything at present

How is Mike Dean doing punditry on Soccer Saturday after admitting his indiscretions
-
Its always difficult to judge a performance by reading comments on here lol ! So frustrating us letting gols slip time and again

I think we need to see what they do before we write them off. Both have been decent in the past and may rekindle their quality under a different regime. look at how Sterling has done since Poch has been there. Whether a loan player gives it all is another thing, will it mean much to them getting promotion if they know they wont bear the fruit of it

Too early to assess that. Ipswich were mightily lucky at QPR to get anything from the game. Leicester seem to have the squad, but so do we. Piroe is a really odd one, first we were told he had signed a new contract, ,then we were supposedly getting him before Leeds got him for 12m!! It will be meltdown on here if he starts scoring! I think not buying Piroe will be a problem for us if Che goes.

It is a disgraceful thing that Dean has admitted to. Makes Anthony Taylor looks poor as well, as he basically said he'd had a bad game and he was protecting him. I assume he is writing a book and so needs the publicity but really has hindered refs for the future, and also highlights that the refs do make decisions in VAR not for the game but to cover the refs backs

Haven't seen anything yet. Its a tad like some kids giggling at the back of the class. You either have stuff to share or you don't, when I had someone in the dressing room, I asked what I could or could not share. This included players coming in and 'events' in the dressing rooms between players. I didnt need to make my own secret society, and quite frankly of all of the group I suspect only one has any contacts the rest are just sycophants and followers.

Well I suppose he was correct about one thing, I haven't seen too many snippets that have come to pass that are not out in the ether coming through from COT. Waiting for this number 5 thing.

If Ings was to come here on loan (I doubt btw)WHU would be paying a large chunk of his wages

They are all well written, almost professionally by fairly new posters. Sadly they will soon be hounded out lol.

Perhaps Smallbone has integrity, really does love the club and realises that having lots of 0's on your bank balance doesn't brig you complete happiness. There again if it was a top 6 team he may have gone in a heartbeat but SU probably means he would be playing Championship football next season wheras he has a good chance of playing PL football next season, at a club that longterm may be more relevant and able to stay up.

Dont under estimate QPR, if you wathced the highlights against Ipswich last week they should have won by a margin but missed some amazing chances. I think we should win but would not be surprised f we struggle

instead of lounging, looks like you should be cleaning around the edge of the pool! 😉☺️

OMG this forum tomorrow if Piroe scores, it will be in meltdown!!! I posted yesterday that we should have bought Piroe (if RM thinks he is the answer) as Che is out of contract at the end of the season and so we wouldnt need to carry him in the future (always January as well) Now we have the problem that if Che goes on the eve of the window shutting we will have a bun fight trying to get a replacement and also the selling club will have our pants down. Hopefully the club have a better option but our record in the last few years regarding forward purchases has not been good
-
Is Manji in the circle of trust, if not I'd take that with a pinch of salt, as they were spot on about Frazer coming here
-
Because the club would not want to let a fantastic price be passed. Che will be a free agent and so the business people will want to get the money in. If we lose him there is no guarantee we wouldn't go up, wheras they know we wont get a penny for him in a few months. It is a balancing act, you also have to take into account that Che wants to play in the PL
-
Fear is that we get offered £18m on last day and have to accept and so that leaves us scrabbling again

Turkish put Five in his reply the other day, Davos/ Thats Dr Who isnt it?

I think you will find that after being informed by 'experts/scientists' as a child at Junior school in the late 1960's, being told that oil was going to run out, that we were going into an ice age, cancer would be cured before i was 30, that we knew all the elements there were and impossible that would be anymore (Southampton University Professor's own words) etc etc you become slightly more cynical as time goes on when prophets of doom come about. There are a lot of powerful people making a lot of money form Climate change, many peoples living comes from it and of course it is a fantastic revenue stream for governments with tax. Population is the problem not oil or fossil fuels

Its odd, this forum is Saints fans. All loving the same club but seemingly disliking each other.
