  1. Well I didnt want Puel gone and he finished with a far better position and if fate had not been cruel we would have a cup. Ralph got us to a semi final and was the worst negative performance possible, add to that some real bashings
  2. Absolutely NOT, he was another who played the game the same negative way. Ings great season papered over the cracks of his poor football. Ings scored goals from nothing, in games where we were going nowhere. He is another who got the players to stop going forward allowing the opposition to reset.
  3. We are his accomplishes, our idiot society allowed him to get into the position so that he could take advantage of his fame, so that women could be picked out of audiences to satisfy his lust. He would not be the first, I doubt there are many pop stars or celebs who haven't done the same. We (not me) found him hilarious that he was given shows, we are as guilty as he is because we still promote absolute bell ends, due to shows like Big Brother, Love Island etc etc etc who get their moment of fame and the top brass at tv companies don't act
  4. would you trust those buffoons with a footballing decision, inept?? If they got rid of RM they'd probably go for some other hipster who talks in riddles and doesn't take on board that the Championship is a hard league, where you need some grit in midfield and also some of Nathans kick and run. Before that you have to actually have players that are cut out for grafting and getting stuck in, we haven't
  5. Behave, hes an incredible manager and anybody who thinks he wouldnt improve any team is IMO a tad foolish
  6. In the main I agree, but I dont on Sullemana is unfair, imo he was in the wrong position, ideal to be upfront to take flick ons, his pace is an advantage but we play him wide and the passage of play is slow and losing the advantage of his speed. The instructions seem to be play it back not be incisive. All the early season excitement has faded, the fans were well up for it, but already the stuffing has been kicked out of us due to the negative play. Seeing full backs overlapping at pace and players flooding the box adds excitement that gets the fans on board , that in turn lifts the atmosphere. Having playing fiddling around the back makes the fans nervous which in turn finds it way to the pitch
  7. Another hipster type coach with lots of bull.
  8. I really cant fathom the playing out from your on goal. You are not going to score from there and more likely to concede, whereas a pressing style of play right upfield gives you far more chance to gain an advantage. The opposition know you are playing to hope to draw them out and so set themselves accordingly, no surprise factor. We haven't built a squad for this league, no aggressive midfielders who win the ball, no height in attack and so little chance of winning aerial duals
  9. I only watched the 2nd half and we were the more dominant team but got us nowhere as like other managers before, we dont take advantage of a break away we just slow the attack down, just to make sure the opposition are all in their right places and reset, very gentlemanly of us
  10. If my memory serves me correctly the bunch of chances who own the club wanted the American who was sacked by Leeds, they left RH too long, got NJ, Selles and now RM. I wouldn't trust them to be able to judge a jam competition at a village fete let alone judge a good football manager. I will say it again Semmens was caught out by their sales pitch and gave them the keys, rather than the 2 other bidders who had more finances. They are appalling owners and Gao was better, people will scoff but time will prove me right.
  11. But there was the overconfidence that we were going to walk it. Wilcox was a genius, he may have been good at selling players but he didn’t build a side that was going to cope with the rigours of this league. He must have been part of the decision makers to get RM. At present it looks like a massive mistake
  12. Thanks for that I’ve just put it on, although may curse you later
  13. I think it is such a shame the blind faith fans had in RM was so unfounded. Is Wilcox still the best thing since sliced bread, as he has not built a side that is suitable for this league and I assume part of selecting this manger with this style of football
  14. Always amazed that this system has not been done before, but assume the weight is a major problem
  15. That is fair, but I haven't seen yet many wonderful decisions by this team yet. It isn't a recent thought about SR as I have been underwhelmed by them all along. Just listening to the Reading situation made it come to the front of my mind
  16. Listening to BBC 606 podcast today, it struck me how new owners can destroy a decent club like Reading by foolish decisions. I have always been suspicious of SR, and worry they are as good as many had us believe. Many will say 'SR spent money' well they did, but are we sure they spent their own money or took out loans against the clubs future PL earnings? they certainly quickly recovered them in the summer. I don't know the in and outs of Readings problems but so far the new people have overseen, a string of poor management appointments, relegation and now what seemed a brighter future a bit of a eye opener. To me Gao was a better owner, he left the club to run with Semmens overseeing it, and I thought rather well. We were unlucky that after Gao bought us the Chinese government stopped outgoing funds from China so he couldn't invest as I suspect he was going to.(typical as a Saints fan that when things look up we get cut at the knees) I often wonder if Semmens regrets his choice of owners when there were others with more money to invest interested. Their talk is always smart but is it a case of the emperors new clothes. I truly hope my concerns are unfounded but it doesn't look that great at the moment.
  17. Manning has been our main player giving assists, so I dont agree with you about crossing, corners etc. Amazing how Small bone was a 'must keep' a few weeks ago, there was a sort of meltdown when it seemed he may go and now those people have melted away and all of a sudden he's a duff.
  18. Ok, I don't mind if you think you are right or wrong as we all have opinions. Personally, I dont think we do have one of the best squads as they are not tailored to fit this league IMO. We may have plenty of promising youngsters but hardly a team that is strong. I read last season that our squad was full of talent, where did that get us. Some of our fanbase has an arrogance that we are all conquering, the last 2 games have tempered that a bit, luckily. I'm not sure it was a decent window as are we really strong enough in the midfield? Until Ive seen Stewart play I reserve judgement, I also feel we are a small side, Leicester underlined this with their strong runners.
  19. A friend has one, the power range runs out very quickly. He loves the acceleration but says as soon as he puts any of the gizmos like heating on it drops quickly. Another thing I was told last week that they are so heavy now, once they become the norm they will have to reinforce multi storey car parks etc. Im going to resist buying one for as long as possible, I hate stopping for petrol if there is 2 cars in a queue bugger it if I have to sit 30 mins to charge up
  20. he's the messiah compared to what we have now lol. I doubt we'd be messing around, but being ultra aggressive and rattling cages
  21. Good that you own up to being wrong. As I had stated how can you win lots of games when you basically have a team of kids, who are not strong enough to stand up to the rough tough seasoned pro's we are going to face, especially in midfield. We can do it before the season really cranks up but once it does facing midfields with hardened Championship players will become impossible. I like Smallbone and noticed there was cries of we can't sell him etc etc, seems today the 7m offer from Sheff Utd was about right. Where is that tough tackling midfielder we have been crying out for? Its almost we are in a coma and shouting at the club but can't be heard that we needed a big centre back, tough midfielder and and big centre forward. Until we see what Stewart can do the jury is out on him
  22. If KWP was back at the distance with Small bone and Alcarez on the D a much better situation, especially as Alcaraz can shot
  23. Our players all in a bunch, Che offside. I read about 20 years ago that you should always have a player on the D as the percentage of balls that fall in that area, and so you either stop an attack and can recycle or have a shot.
  24. All this sexy play of defenders slick on the ball and passing it around and then back to Baz (played very well) who then takes on a 40 yard pass, why not just get the defenders to pass the ball to a creative player up the pitch makes the passes? If Pep decided not to play a keeper half the frigging league would follow, it is madness. The profile of player the club looks at is nonsense. We have no what you would call athletic running players, all one paced and midgets. A centre forward who is so one footed that when he gets a chance of an open goal he had do full circle to make a shot. I had hoped these days and feeling sick after a game would have relented in this league but sadly not. I did warn that we were not physically strong for this league and we are going to learn some harsh lessons. SR are our worst owners ever IMO, at least Gao left the club to run, not these clowns
  25. If Carlsberg did football managers they wouldn't come up with the twats SR choose
