What news on ticket sales for the Luton match
OldNick replied to brianoneils slidingtackle's topic in The Saints
I was right at the back in row KK block 31and forgot how good it was sitting up there as the view of the game is so much better. I think I may get a couple of tickets there for next season and move back from the Northam. It does give a better insight into the game -
Sadly religion has no country. It is impossible to know all your enemies and that is why this 'war' will never end.
-
It is a tasteless stunt and I hope all the decent muslims who are the vast majority, speak out against it. That is the only way for the divisions ever to be mended. The muslims have to show the country that they do want to be united with everybody and integrate into the laws and ways of the land.

I understand your postion but footballers to play at their best they do need rest.I agree they dont have another game for 7 days but they had quite a few over christmas as well as travelling. It would be good if they could get a little time to freshen and so perforn to their best. Players get jaded and if yesterday is anything to go by they are now. Please do not mention wages etc as that has nothing to do with over work. The clubbing and womanising is anotehr thing of course and I dont think that has been properly addressed not only at our club

whats 6m? not ross's salary

Ross doesnt earn 7m a year from the Beeb.

I looked on a luton site last night (it is crashed this morning) that they were up in arms as there were a large contingent of English Defence League in their section. They were very scathing and embarrassed by it. So fair play to the majority who were just football fans

170k a week for JT , it is a madness. It makes me less keen to get back to that nonsense. Yesterday was perfect , 10-15 quid to get in and still have a game to watch.
-
Yep and he'd be keen to be I suggest. Not that he has said so, just the impression I got
-
Well you should go and watch rather than listen (sorry if you are sight impared) Patterson did more than Antonio did and was up on the defenders shoulders not letting them rest.He also went close to scoring.I liked him
-
It must be a cost saving exercise. It seems sensible to me, although not having the family section might have been a bad idea.

James had a terrible game and was shown up for his lack of pace. I was in block 31 and could see why Weston and Derry have been giving him stick about his crosses after today.Saying that I don't think anybody was outstanding.Lamberts free kicks were superb though. My friend who plays for Luton I felt had a very good game. He marked Papa , got unfairly booked IMo and was decent at right back, and made a couple of important blocks in the second half.

anybody but Pompey. They still would beat us and in doinbg so could start a resurgence. When they beat us 1-0 at FP it transformed them from a relegation team to go on and win their first game away and many more.

have you thought of asking Tony Lynham for help?......apologies, that was a bit naughty Happy New Year
-
Phil, thanks, hope you had a good holiday.

@where has all the money gone' song is a nonsense, the same as when it was sung here. I and many others were banging on to the Skates about the mad wages they were paying. It was stated in the press 2 years ago that Crouchie was on 90k a week. That is every week, add to that all the star players they werre buying adding to their unsustainable wage bill. They at least can say 'well we won the cup' , how they'd feel now if they hadn't lord knows. PL football clubs are very hungry animals to feed and unless you have a man prepared to lose millions a year you are in trouble with their attendance. The tv money is swallowed up very quickly and at long last there is real common sense coming to those clubs and their spending. If we make it back in the next 5 years i sense there will be realisim and we may be able to compete with the majority.
-
we fail to take on board they are only 2 leagues below us. How many times in the too distant past have we lost those games? We'd better win , as Ive been giving one of the Luton players a load of stick about the game.
-
Can i assume this means they will keep finding last minute money and perhaps they will cruise off again into the sunset smelling of roses.

Lens call for potless Pompey to be shut down

apparently as the PL only play 38 games the proportion of points taken is 1 less
