  1. we will have to disagree then, If KD had stayed where he was and Belhadj sliped the ball across for a 2 yard tap in you'd have picked up on that.He had a split second and the finish was superb.
  2. Well lets hope Phil can get a lowdown on this, he normally is spot on with the arab take on things. I loved the saints fan going and taunting Jacob and storrie with his teatowel and cash, did you see it. Very good indeed.
  3. You are joking? Belhadj was about 8-10 yards out and did a clever dumy, KD like the rest thought he was about to slide the ball for a tap in and KD rightly made the judgement that most watching would have, Belhadj just showed real class in the way he decieved not only KD but the majority of fans in the ground, salute the quality finish
  4. I cant believe this thread!! James got lucky, he twice misread the corners , the first he missed and Jaidi should have scored the second he came out and flapped at the ball and was fortunate it hit him.Davis save was superb from Ohara and the ball was dipping in, add to his taking a couple of crosses. As for the goals, I was in liner for the first where their player curled the ball into the net, the 2nd Dindane? was 1 on 1 and KD went down and dindane cleverly chipped the ball and KD got a bit on it but not enough. The 3rd again Belhadj was through and looked to cross but dummied KD and slid the ball home, a superb bit of finishing the fourth again was a case of them outnumbering us and Ohara having a free shot. You should be pointing your fingers at Lallana and his powder puff attempts that should have bulged the net rather than bobbling into James hands
  5. Not the best atmosphere for me, Norwich was a different league, also the first time we played pompey at SMS
  6. People tell me that the lure of Pompey is their PL status, if they lose that what have they got? It amazes me that they are getting interest in them. Also what standing has Vantis in their part of the business world, I read on here they were in financial trouble, then they must be a top team. Are they likely to be forensic in their report or just a cursory glance?

    Trouble?

yes there were many wheeltrims being hurled.Horses were brought in to disperse the fans. We could see from the Mick Channon suite the missiles being thrown
  8. ?????????
  9. I dont think you are arrogant. I have maintained that you should stay up. First half -70minutes I had a different opinion as there was little fight and heart, except from Ohara. The rapid counter attack did for us, but i doubt you will get much opportunity for that in the PL unless teams are going for it.I dont see you opening many teams up. In time we will see if Ohara should have been able to sign. In that I mean due to trading illegally. You are one of 2 fans who have shown up on here during the toughest days, and so good luck to you, and any decent fans who support your club. I hope you dont stay up and get true penalties, but this result may ignite your season and knowing the jammy luck over the last few years you will probably get saved and stay up. that will p### me off.
  10. The lad dressed as the arab was really funny. Ml was laughing Marc jacob would not look at him and I think you can see in the photo Storrie not looking. Many people laughinh. As for the game, a decent finisher and we would have scored 3 in the first half. Considering they are PL they only relied on counter attacks and we paid the price. Ohara was their only player with any spirit and had he not played they were poor. Belhadj came to life second half and was good in attack. Lallana has been talked up, but to me he gets the position and thenm has a powder puff attempt on goal. Not PL class IMO The team did well and i didnt expect to win
  11. Ohara was the only 1 that held you together, a very useful player and should not have been allowed to play.Anyway the scoreline did not reflect the true balance of the game. You had a couple of really good finishes and had we had composure like that the result hsoulkd have been much different.
  12. the prospect of some good news on the horizon asnd then woe behold Ho appears. lol.
  13. Ironic a player that sounds like Toxic joins Pompey
  14. And what is vantis's part in all this. If they are over seeing the books surely they would have had some input?
  15. thats what fear does
  16. It is comical that the PL etc allow them to sign more players when the Registrar said it looks like they are insolvent. I suspect she will not view tem taking on more overheads very much. Is he on a pay as he plays deal?
  17. ASrsenal have more to lose if Pompey are folded in respect of points and so league position. They would imediately have 6 points less.
  18. Bolton have gained point against them. Wolves Sunderland (2 draws only) Burnley Liverpool and another have lost to them, so all other clubs have a vested interest in keeping the points they have taken from them. The report of their demise may well be premature.
  19. surely Sunny Afternon by the Kinks. 'The taxman's taken all my dough etc etc'
  20. i assume the Fraud squad
  21. The PL branding will be effected big time if 1 of their clubs is unable to fulfill the fixtures, and the league having to take points away from some teams. Liverpool will be the only power team who would be happy for that to happen and so they will vote in favour. It will make a mockery. I think the PL thought that the judge would order a 28day reprieve and so give them more time to find a backer. It was a close run thing and the PL will now be busting a gut trying to find a way out for them. The world wide issue is at stake, they are not worried about the home market as we are no longer the real target audience IMO. I was wrong it sems that the judge appointed the accountants, if Pompey have i doubt they would chose people who were not a little understanding. I do not know how Vantis are rated and without doubt well above board, but it does concern me that if they had been at the club for a month and not seen what seems quite obvious , it is a bit worrying. Of course they may not have seen any of the accounts and so unable to draw any quick asessment re trading while insolvent.
  22. stand back and look at it from the PL's side. They are desperate for a PL side not to go into admin. They in my mind will do as much as possible to help that from happening. Giving the money to Pompey is not really changing the events on the pitch but also can be dressed up as keeping the leagues integrity. Forget not Dave Richards Chairman of the PL introduced Al fahim to the club, we dont know what other cosy agreements they have with Storrie. It is dirty politics and I still think Pompey will escape, so close to true justice the other day but now out of its clutches. if Vantis have already been working on Pompeys books for weeks then that also worries me. Id have thought they would have been honour bound to put them into admin as soon as they had seen them trading while insolvent. I dont feel happy with what is reported on here this morning.
  23. The FA surely are leaving themselves open, in not immediately frezing any of PFC's fixtures until they can assertain whether they are indeed trading illegally. The FA have seen in court that a judge and HMRC have agreed that they believe they are trading illegally. I would have thought their lawyers would have got them to act imediately as it could leave them open to private claims. I know its fanciful but why couldn't groups of clubs fans who are directly effected make psycological claims that their team has been relegated and the stress involved. the clubs players (as Sheff utd threatened to once) sue as their potential loss of earnings etc. Fanciful i know but in this world!
  24. My understanding is that is not an option.Whether they pay up or not they have to supply concrete evidence that they can pay all the debts (read Phils post , who to me sums it up perfectly) If not it's goodbye.
  25. i think you will find that I had stated that after speaking to a corporate lawyer sunday,, he said that the judge would appoint accountants to look at the clubs accounts. I think the short timescale would be a surprise to him though. I have always thought they'd get away with it, but now there is outside accountants in,I feel that much will come to light
