  1. Is the trust involved? if so i would be concerned, flicking through the charter gave me no inkling they would be.
  2. I was told that allegedly WGS turned down the director of football role due to Oldknow being at the club, so I suggest his departure was not a surprise to me.
  3. I havent read the echo's piece, but if they have published a story about the spat, then I suggest there is a big rift. The Echo's influence is minor to what it was and so they, I believe are the losers in the long run.
  4. you got my goat up does that count?
  5. I suspect you have run out of them to blame for your bad info. I suspect Evans was reading out a request from somebody who works in administration in an office in Pompey. Lol.....you need some Lugs to listen properly
  6. It amazes me that most people including many of the Pompey fans accept that it looks like major dodgy dealings at FP, but the authorities seem totally blind to it! As for Pes I can feel his hurt and wish him the best, but I do want to see proper justice being served. You never know it might be for the best as it has worked out for us.
  7. Lol. MB he has a goatee. I would love to come back with a good retort of an undesirable that you loosely resemble but I can't think of anyone.
  8. I cannot see any reason why a this can be criticised. there again we are saints fans. Lol
  9. Surely you dont think he wont be putting up their expected transfer coups from Tooting, Stevenage, Havant, and Titchfield 2nd team
  10. I agree.I have stood in with them and they sing constantly ,also with quite a bit of humour. My favourite is when eventually the ref gives them a free kick after their perceived bad luck and they sing 'it's a miracle, its a miracle.'
  11. Pes, your clubs problem is that your most prominent fans look very dim. Our experience of them are not respecting a minutes silence, smashing their own city up on more than 1 occasion plus some pretty mindless displays elsewhere.I know the majority of Pompey fans are really decent and when the Pompey fans site has been linked on here and I have read some of the stuff they are a good bunch of lads.Just normal people who care for their team. I dont wish for pompey to go out of business but get their true punishment and also go back to below us, it seems more natural that way.
  12. that brings us to birth control, now there is something i can agree with.
  13. PES you are 1 of the decent Skates. You never crowed or gloated in our darkest hours and even during your cup success. I suggest you are like most decent football fan who by the fate of birthplace support Pompey and noSaints. I believe that the FA cup was bought and if it is right for the majority Pompey get penalised. You have memories of the cup final that should if all things being equal should not have happened. Had you not spent big against all sensible financial restraints that day would not have happened, so medicine is rightly to be administered. We had ours in a very large dose
  14. A family friend plays for Luton, i have already texted him to say 'never mind there's always next year' It is causing a rift in our family as some want to support Luton on the day!!! Son in law and son are already doing so (he's a toffee anyway)
  15. Those Pompey transfer gossip threads are going to be fun soon. Anybody got a good song to the tune of Tony Christies one they abused us with in our relegation season?
  16. i see your reasonable parts of debate. The tar sands are being refined as the price of oil has got to a stage where it is profitable to do so. You can hardly blame the Canadians for doing so. I read some time ago the north sea only has about 20% of its resource ever tapped the rest is not cost effective to get to, if the price stayed at $100 a barrel for a long time that would be got to as well. My point about the element is that there is an arrogance in the academic world that only they can be right and so dismiss any other idea. I hope for all our grandchildrens sakes that man can change the climate but we wil never be around to see if we really did it.Much like a fighter pilot shot down and killed in the battle of britain he would have never known if his efforts were worthwhile. Of course that is an extreme coparison but Im sure you get my drift. Can you tell me what happened to the hole in the o-zone? Last I read was that the hole had gone. Now surely us giving up some aerosols could not have made that much difference so quickly!
  17. Iam a sceptic. In the 70's I was at school and we lived in fear of the energy crisis. We as impressionable 10-12 year old kids were bombarded with tales of there is less than 20years of fuel left and we'd all be walking. Those scentists and advisors got it wrong big time. My father also in the 1970's assured by a proffesor from Southampton university that there were no more elements and they had all been found, it was an impossibilty. That is the arrogance of well educated people in their field. They close their minds to being wrong. If we in the uk all stopped using cars and stopped switching the light on would not effect man made climate change (if there indeed is such a thing), in fact if the world cuts emisssions by 30% that will help very little IMO. I do the best I can regarding recycling and reducig a carbon footprint in case it is true but the enviroment is a political and economic issue. Too many peoples living is tied up with the green issue for it to be properly assessed by us lay men.
  18. I sit in the Northam and accept we have to move on certain games. i have called for us to have us have a proper home end I would be fine if the club moved the Northam to the Chapel so we could all raise the roof together.
  19. Well a friend plays for Luton and he has kept that quiet, we were due to all go out tuesday night into salisbury but he cancelled until next week due to playing so????.In fact the family is divided as some are going to support Luton!!!!!!
  20. I promise you it is not a case of stting down all game in those rows.It is up down, up down all frigging game. The stewards are at us all the time. As for the opening post, have I missed something and Rotherham have gone through??? I doubt Luton will be very pleased if we are dismissing them already.Strangley i expect if Luton are our opponents then they will mean a bigger gate.
  21. yet again our away support sounded superb on the radio
  22. yep thanks Mike
  23. Ladysaint, I have never in the 40+years of watching saints seen any of these values that are a dream IMO. As a fan I have only ever been seen as a cash cow. Under every regime I have been expected to be grateful for small mercies and only under the LM pereiod have I seen a team to be really proud of. Even then the board did not support him to go and get the final bit of the jigsaw to win us the league. ML is the father figurehead IMO and he I suggest does not wish to be usurped by any of the old guard. Anyway i dont believe there is 1 who has not got criticism or been devisive. (not H.Taylor as he s to my limited knowledge a fan) Lets just have success and move up and not worry about the frills until we are back to where we belong.
  24. is it an emergency loan from the PFA? I think they have done something on those lines before.
  25. NEWS JUST In Pomey are to be bought by L'Oreal .....because they're WORTHLESS
