  1. Is it? f### me where did that last 24 hours go!!!
  2. A reply would be fine, although I would be just happy for them to be penalised severely and Brum given a bye.
  3. I agree but if it means the defeat against Pompey could be officially erased from the records all the better. They fielded players on the day who should not have played. " of them scored and changed the outcome, add to that an illegal player. What iff it was the Cup semi final or the world cup final would you be happy if the winning side won in the same terms. The FA cup was always about even chance, and fair play IMO
  4. the staff al will get paid, the reason for this is that they had about 4m they offered the HMRC. Now they are going into admin they can forget the HMRC's for now and try and lookas they are solvent by paying the staff.
  5. Hold on my ITK friend, you came on and stated when it looked like you were going out of business a similar thing, but before going into admin. Now you have yet again moved the goalposts..what a surprise. I have no doubt that you will be bought in admin as there are too many people who have vested interests in you staying alive. Not due to a love a the club, but love of their own money. It is not your fault that you have a bunch of chancers running the business but you should show a little shame that once AGAIN your club has ruined many peoples lives and many of those people are your own fans who have small businesses. Pompey will IMO be bought out of admin but only due to the fact so many people including the PL have bent over backwards, and that is only due to the fact htey want to keep their old boys club going. You are going to get 2 years parachute payments and that is obviously something that interests people to look into buying you when the debts have to some degree been erased. Only time will tell whether enough has been. I will at least admit you have been sceptical about Storrie, i think it is time you woke a lot of your friends down there to the fact as well.
  6. Well I can see that it could be argued that he didnt come on, but also a decision could be made knowing that for example, they could take off a defender and pt on an attacker. If they scored the defender was able then to come on to shore up the defence ,when that advantage was made. It is all part of tactics and assessment at that given time. The whole squad are part of the game. When there used to be only 1 sub managers had to be very careful how and when they made their substitutuions. Now they can balance it by having a group to choose from. If NC felt like it , I would be amused he made an objection and asked for a replay. At least it would highlight yet again how they have been bending the rules.
  7. Perhaps as he is a Spurs fan , it is time for all their tie ups to be erased
  8. Is the FP entraceway a listed building ? If not I'm surprised as the local authority could do so to put a spanner in the works of the developers.
  9. I have not seen it posted, but SSN had a reporter on who said that the PL have said they will honour the next 2 seasons parachute payments as well as the last tv money , in total 37m whatever happens. Now at first it seems a lot of money but of course if Gaydamek and the HMRC are owed more than that, they are not out of the deep water. I think the HMRC statement/reaction could be pivotal, a lot of ups and downs still to come for them it seems. The wages and administration bills will also become part of money due to Chanrai of course as well. I wonder what interest rates these loans are on.
  10. Sadly I have always felt they would get out of it and expressed the best that would happen was -9 this season and relegation. It seems that may come to pass. I would be delighted if this happened and also Storrie and co got their just desserts. For them to have less than this happen will be a bitter pill to swallow. I notice less of the 'they are toast ' posts today. They have obviously paid for the best minds to work this through and so they look to have thwarted justice.
  11. Bournemouths manager has done well. I dont think any of the above would be 'good enough' for us
  12. Derry if you recall you mentioned Alex Ferguson as manager (I do realise it was tongue in cheek, althugh with some on here !!!)and so I followed on from there. As always we are both close to the same thing (except KD) and want the team to go on from here.
  13. That is interesting.
  14. That IMO has been the talks for the last few days. They have been looking at the books readying for a bid to the administrator or even setting this up. Storrie saying he is staying, tells me he has got the nod. It is prepacked and a dodge to avoid justice IMO...what a surprise
  15. I played it twice and beat it twice Ron Davies and Roger Chapman (singer)
  16. Begbies traynor expert on the Pompey News Does this mean they will break the club up and sell it off? A: No. The administrator's main role is to try to find a buyer, who can repay the club's debts. The debts are ring-fenced, which means it's not the administrator's role to pay them. They will be paid from money the company is paid, such as for transfers or money from the Premier League, and the cash from its sale. The administrator must get the best possible value for the club, and that means maintaining its assets. Portsmouth's greatest asset is as a football club with a place in a league. Its sale on that basis will be much more profitable than breaking it up and selling it piecemeal. Well when Begbies Traynor were dealing with us, I cant recall them saying that then.
  17. Now that would seem fair, but as people have said to me, who says the law is fair?
  18. Derry please do not keep comparing a L1 teams abilities to Man u. I wasn't there last night and so cannot comment on the amount of crosses. If Antonio played then his job is to get to the byeline and cross (or if not to the byeline still cross) same goes for any of our wide men. I myself dont think that lambert is that good in the air, he competes but doesnt dominate (Ilike him as a player a great deal). I think he didnt play as the front man at Rovers but just behind the attacker. perhaps we need a Rob Hulse type forward and Lambert alongsode to feed off the hoofs.
  19. In my mind Hammond should be one of the first on the team list. I prefer him to Morgan, but that's football for you.
  20. Passing and pretty football does not overcome hard work week in week out. You need the mix of the good and ugly, that is where our club and some fans have missed the point since relegation from the PL. You need a couple of brute centre halves , tough tackling midfielders who run and run and then a lump of a centre forward with a moore mobile player alongside to pick up the pieces.
  21. Even Rooney couldnt convert a lot of our crosses. The only goal Ive seeen Rooney score with his head was the one in the CL last week where the ball was flung in from 25 yards out. I do except that the rest may have come from Nani or Giggs etc. I also believe we should get to the byeline. My father always was saying that a winger should either head fro the bye line to cross or gewt into the box where the defender is under pressure and the odds improve for the winger to get the ball across or get a penalty. We played open football for a great deal last season and were caught time and again with a sucker punch and then this when we were winning 3-1 there were complaints because we were getting goals against. It is a delicate balance we are not Man u who have quality but a L1 side who are facing in the main battlers. Yes hoofball is not the way to play but if we win who cares? im sure Colchester are not moaning too much. Basically we all want a winning team who play mouthwatering football, sadly NO team does so week in week out. It is work in progress, but i also will become impatient if we do not start to look like the real deal ready for next season.
  22. you'd moan about him as well Derry, as his players dont get to the byeline or the keeper is just a shot stopper lol
  23. my favourite bit is the girl advertising 'Have you got debt problems'
  24. Where is Clapham and Bucks Saint? They both must come up against such things but have gone AWOL, come back we need your insight (not saying some others on here have not, but these are professionals in this field) Even if you use another name, come back
  25. If the judge has ordered the Soa because she thought they were trading illegally , it seems a nonsense the said company can trade on (illegally) only then to pull the plug just before the day of judgement. Then able to move on without any investigation to trade again, without that debt. Surely the judge has to view and judge whether she was correct or not?
