  1. Will the players minds be on the game. They will be welcomed as heroes of course after beating a L1 team by playing for a breakaway win.
  2. Ill give a guess of the attendance in the directors box if you like.
  3. I did realise that but wished to use your post to comment from. Nobody else had made an issue of that and Ied be interested if Clapham or Bucks saint (as i beleive both are in the administration business)can put light on if adding more bits on after the deadline is allowed.
  4. That is not possible surely. I thought they had to have all the information in by 4pm wednesday surely any other information is null and void.
  5. Its my cunning plan, to be a manager £50, offset that by no 2 £25, kitman £15, assistant to no 2 £15, mascot £15, physio £100 (lots of them out there who want to rub down a few male bodies) etc etc...this is going to be very lucrative evening, I learnt all this from Harry's how to manage book
  6. What people do not seem to be factoring in, is the DESPERATION of the PL to save their face. Push comes to shove they will bend the rules to keep the league with it's 20 teams in tact. To me if they help Pompey and give them a -9 point penalty that is the best i can expect at this moment in time. I dont know how FIFA will react and am surprised at their reticence to act. I can't see Pomey being qble to claw much money in for players anyway, the bids they would attract would be rock bottom and as Chanrai is said to have got them as a guarentee of his money, he may have a say in it.
  7. Has Storrie been on SSN crying that the man from Vantis waved the report in his face in a threatening manner. he is thinking of resigning as he is only trying his best to keep Pompey in business and people from looking into the books
  8. They obviously saw your performance last time and knew it was a waste of good money.....only kidding Si. I hope you can turn up and be a spectator, or even our kit man
  9. Peter Kay just knew he shouldnt be there and called LIam Gallagher a knob. It was cringeworthy ..Jonathan Ross like your embarrassing uncle. Cheryl Cole was awful. The best performance was Alicia Keys, turned it off when Robbie Williams was boring us.
  10. I can see the logic in that but why are they still there? I can only assume they have something in the report that we have not thought of.
  11. I assume the bits they wish to have factored in ,is the extra cash from the Fa Cup fixture and the tv/PL money due. Also the sudden reduction in the wage bill of Utaka's wages. Strange that he has been so unhappy about the talk about his wages why speak about it today?
  12. tha cant be correct. Vantis surely would have to check the new information if they are going to put their name to it.
  13. As Gemmel has stated if there are no resignations then they have something to fight for. I dont know how many games they have between now and the court appearance but if they happened to win 2 and close the gap ,somebody may be a tad more interested. Also they seem to know every move to avoid justice and so their demise is not yet here.I think if the court appearance had not been put back to the 1st of march they would be goners, that extra 10 or so days is going to save them.
  14. It is not against fans like you but the officers of the club who have through whatever means put you in a place where you should not have been. How many teams fans has your club broiken the hearts of by staying up due to fielding a team you could not afford, and also beat on the way to win the FA cup. The financial implications that Cardiff winning the cup final and all the add ons they would have got may have staved off their winding up order. It has rankled a long time how you have put out teams with players like Crough (reportedly at the time on 80k a week while other clubs have had to field also rans against you. IMO you as a fan have got lifetime memories on the back of unfair advantage (perhaps even unlawful) I still think you will wriggle out of it, but a demotion down a few leagues would be a fair sentence, BSL is the least these things deserve IMO. We took our punishment, it was our first offence this is your second round and the first time you got away with no penalties.
  15. as I said yesterday a replay should be organised with elegible players.....OH
  16. 4 months....you aint Pompeys accountant by any chance.
  17. Iam 100% certain the SoA will be delivered on time. It is the information in it that is open to dispute.
  18. Merovingian is not downbeat and seems quietly confident about things.I suggewst he has some good contacts near the club and so I expect nothing to happen today. If it was Ho then things would be different as his sources cant even get the S/T sales correct. Pompey will add the revenue expected for the Brum game (lets hope it is not on TV) to their income. It is eerily quiet on real news and all along i have been sceptical that Vantis (who had in the weeks before the court case been working at the club) have the job to show the state of PFC's finances. Surely they should have pointed out the position then and also Grant Thornton may be a bit twitchy.
  19. How about a replay against players who are elegible, so Alan Knight in goal etc etc . Seems a fair way to me.
  20. A liquidator will expect ot get the best price for them. They will be sent to auction and will make a decent price, I doubt there is any chance of them being kept togeher.Of course there may be a bit of looting before the people get the keys to the premises. Knowing a lot of the lads down in the Southsea trade, those items will be sold at Kempton Park, Newark antiques fair or melted down before your set of dreamers get a chance of getting a hold of them.
  21. I dont know Vantis's reputation, but I am a tad less confident of their work than if it was a Price Waterhouse type operation. As Vantis had already been there working and hads not flagged any wrongdoing i am a little cynical
  22. You can dress it up as much as you like. A thrashing was like the 5-1 you had at home against Arsenal in the cup on tv. The result saturday was a case of a PL side under the cosh and playing for a break away. The goals were well taken. We fell for some sucker counter attack goals when we went for it, your lot came for a draw and hoped to nick it. well done, perhaps freedom of the City can be given to the players as well as calling the cathedrals bells after them alonside Harry of course.
  23. No i dont want it to be like that but assessing the situation that is what will happen.Without a doubt when we went down quite a few fans would have gone and watched Pompey in the PL. Not all fans are as committed as we are to 1 team. If SFC had ended up in the BSL we also would have had the same effect on our fanbase and so 10k would have been the most we could have expected, it is human nature. The first few games the novelty will be there after that realism kicks in and you then have to feed off the non league newspaper and wait for Radio Solent non league show after 6 on a saturday. Bournemouth will fill their boots taking your air time. It will hurt, but you will still have your team, and no doubt much sympathy from the wider media as they tell us what wonderful supporters you are as they slip away and do other things. It is what so easily happened to us
  24. Portsmouths trophies in the late 30's and 50's were won by a different club. Portsmouth Football club. Portsmouth City Football club have won 1 FA cup and so it is 1 trophy each. If you do get wound up it will be AFCP no trophies. You surely would not say MKdons have won the FAcup or the Manchester version of your new club to have won the European cup and CL.
  25. If you are in the BSL you will at first attract a lot of smpathetic attendees. That will soon wear thin and the crowds will drop dramatically. You are not sure to get the stadium and if so I cant see how you could fund it.It is a hungry animal and the rates and rent will cripple you.Dont forget they will not be part of the skelton you end up with but belong to third parties. To get to play higher league opposition you will have to beat thel ikes of Luton etc and they will have just as good a squad as yours. You may well be playing your games at havant or one of the other small non league grounds. You will NOT get crowds of 16k on boxing day or against higher league opposition in the cup as you cant NOW in the PL.(if you take away the away following) Many fans will not feel the same about AFCP and so a lot of fans will shrug their shoulders and give football a miss. A proportion will go to SMS ,Brighton ,Chelsea Millwall Reading etc etc to watch a better standard of football. The hardcore who live in that island you live in will of course be stuck with Pompey but after 6 months or so less than 6k will turn up
