  1. where does all that money come from to work on it? It must have cost a fortune and still more.It would be better if they spent the money on giving us all sky tv for free and we could watch the discovery channel about the creation of the world
  2. thanks Baj perhaps you could send it on a dvd for me ........oooooooh
  3. Jerusalem and listen to the Welsh sing Land of my fathers
  4. [quote=Under Weststand;49705 So the dodgy dealings (allegedly) continue. You just wonder how long the Premier league, can keep burying their heads in the sand & hoping that it will all go away. Seems that they are just hoping that they can last the season out, & hope they get relegated. Then it will be someone else's problem If you recall , the chairman?? of the Pl introduced or had some part in the arab being introduced to Pompey.I suggest he will make all efforts to save his a###
  5. Duncan what is wrong for the clubs chairman to be enthusiastic? It was a stupid thing to believe but in the early part of the season had wew won a couple of home games the theory would have looked better. We did well away but just couldnt win at home. As for bigging players up i suggest we all have done that in the past and been wrong... myself very rarely of course
  6. I have mates who are PFC and although I dont the skates on here, in the main they are decent people. Yes i want tosee them back where they belong but they feel the same about their football club as we do so let them live. When we were at our darkest Not 1 of my Skate mates turned the knife and all were definitely hoping for us to survive. Obviously the bitter ones wanted us gone but in the main 70% would have been happy for us to survive biut below them Imo
  7. Anyone else notice the other person who was outed on Panorama, is now saying that Benni McCarthy can leave and is in line to go to Pompey who at the time of the Panorama prog also had a person/persons implicated. Surely not a 'you scratch my back and Ill scratch yours' type of gesture.
  8. who? he hasnt been on for yonks.Lol another weak excuse for it he will come up with
  9. I dont agree he would have been successful, but he would have done better. Jan was unfortunate that the draws were not wins, in fact in the first part of the season our away form was very respectable. It was the curse of St Marys that did for him and us. It is history now and in fact fate may have dealt us a better hand for it.
  10. No they're frightened of playing us lol
  11. Hey Saint Will and Alps. call a truce, I dont want either of you gone.
  12. it is paramount that RL or Hammond dont get injured. The JPT could give the fans of a great day out and so perhaps that is th more important of the cup games (how things have changed!!)
  13. NP was interviewed. I think it was a case of going through the motions by RL as he had already in his mind had a plan worked out to try and use the pathetic resources we had to try and keep us aflot. It was a terrible failure but it was what he thought was best. I wish the clubs finances were open for viewing so we could see why he went that way. Allegedly we could not even afford to have the mowers serviced and our account had been put on stop by some suppliers!! that is how bad the funds were.
  14. Antonio is one dimentional IMO from the 1 game I have seen him.My impression is he knocks the ball past the player and then chases it.When that is seen by the opponents they will counter that and he may then become less effective. Papa is one of those players who will do 1 bit of brilliance to get a goal the rest is frustrating. Both are important. My concern is if RL gets injured or tired from too many games
  15. thanks for the link.
  16. NP is doing well.I watched them twice this week and felt they grind out results and were fortunate.NP has made then very hard to beat and I wish him well although it is annoying that Mandaric is part of it
  17. they wont go down as there are too many poor sides in the league.
  18. wont happen until about 15 mins in s/half Id have thought
  19. Lol it has returned. Did he have his computer confiscated and now has found an internet cafe to post from? Your head has been kept well under the parapet while the barrage was under way, I heard him shout. 'Don't panic mr Mainwaring the fuzzy wuzzies/germans/arabs are coming' Lol
  20. and all the fools voting for the twins are being played by SC. He knows just how to play the audience and I suspect he has had it planned all along these would win it. Typical negative selling, he was on sky today saying he would leave the country for 6 months if they win, well that wont be any loss for him as he will be in the US doing tv work.He knows by saying that people will vote for the act. PS i dont watch the show as it is as Ricky gervais pout it 'the return of the Victorian freak circus'
  21. Being a football fan, all laws of normal logical thinking goes to the wall. Is it stupid for me still to dislike Everton with a vengence , all because they deemed to beat us in a cup semi final 25 years ago? For me still to be narked that LM crushed my dreams of us still tugging at the coattails of the Liverpools and Man utd as he walked from us? Toi never forgive GH for getting us to believe that we were going to go places again but for him not to give second glance as he left? I have many wonderful memories of LM's time as manager but his actions post then I havenever been able to stomach. MLT never walked form us and i find it hard ever to criticise him, he has been shown to be too trusting with associates but is on a different level to many other of the clubs icons IMO. RL's deeds do not match up to LM's managerial exploits for us but I will not accept he did nothing for our club and I wonder how many who hate him so much were there at the testimonial cheering him as he played, and wanting him to score? Thankfully we have new owners and the slate is clean, LM and LC are respected by I would suggest the majority but they also played thier parts in our downfall.
  22. he must be down to 'the bare bones' by now at Spurs as he hasn't bought a player for a while
  23. oh so now Woggy is a all time legend. Who can rememeber Jimmy Gallagher, the trainer with the handlebar moustashe?
  24. it depends, a lot would during looking at some of them!!!
  25. looking outside the clubs in any city nowadays it would only take half a packet of crisps to get the same service.I assume the yank is getting prosecuted for overcharging
