  1. have we considered that ML may have been peeved? Afterall he had agreed to underwrite it with his own money and so perhaps he may have wanted to have trumpetted it at the press conference.
  2. FF Im quite surprised at your position. Last season we would have loved to have ground out results, this season we can go togames and expect to win more than lose. That for me is the first time for what seems a lifetime!! I do hope you are behind the new regime and your experience of supporting saints in the bad times has kept your love of the club alive. I notice you made a mention last week about ideas for a new book, can yougive us any clues what the club wants?
  3. now they are blaming Hr perhaps his toys will come out of the pram and Ohara will be recalled. lol
  4. Did they really buy Boateng? I thought i saw that he was a loan. You never know who they buy or loan. Remember when they were said to have bought Lauren Robert and it was ust an option to buy.I suspect that some of those players are really loan with options to buy if they are a success. It is all smoke and mirrors down there.
  5. Reading through a lot of these posts is depressing reading. It is sad that on this straw poll how low the Echo has sunk. Time for some PR from them to get people back on board. It would be a sad day if we had no southampton newspaper.
  6. I can see both sides of the arguement. I suggest the 6 can buy a block of seats together still, but not their normal ones. We are all in this together and should they not all join and get on with it. If they are not ablew to get tickets for Wembley (if we get there) then that is a different matter Imo
  7. I hope insurance companies get their info from that as your premiums will be less ifr they put the offences in the wrong area Lol
  8. Well Im not going to kick them. I enjoy reading the Pink and will be disappointed when and if it stops. The Echo provides a lot of good reading for people who are homebound or not able to go online. The internet is not the be all and end all and so the Echo is still important. As for falling out with the local football club...well that is madness.
  9. they are going to get away with it again..oh well
  10. I assume he is not really crying but just rubbing his eyes!
  11. yep
  12. Yep, to me it is only the lure of the PL that is keeping them afloat, the thought of future tv money is only keeping them alive. When it sinks in that the big 5 or 6 will negotiate their own tv rights will the foreign investors then run away.
  13. Is the trust involved? if so i would be concerned, flicking through the charter gave me no inkling they would be.
  14. I was told that allegedly WGS turned down the director of football role due to Oldknow being at the club, so I suggest his departure was not a surprise to me.
  15. I havent read the echo's piece, but if they have published a story about the spat, then I suggest there is a big rift. The Echo's influence is minor to what it was and so they, I believe are the losers in the long run.
  16. you got my goat up does that count?
  17. I suspect you have run out of them to blame for your bad info. I suspect Evans was reading out a request from somebody who works in administration in an office in Pompey. Lol.....you need some Lugs to listen properly
  18. It amazes me that most people including many of the Pompey fans accept that it looks like major dodgy dealings at FP, but the authorities seem totally blind to it! As for Pes I can feel his hurt and wish him the best, but I do want to see proper justice being served. You never know it might be for the best as it has worked out for us.
  19. Lol. MB he has a goatee. I would love to come back with a good retort of an undesirable that you loosely resemble but I can't think of anyone.
  20. I cannot see any reason why a this can be criticised. there again we are saints fans. Lol
  21. Surely you dont think he wont be putting up their expected transfer coups from Tooting, Stevenage, Havant, and Titchfield 2nd team
  22. I agree.I have stood in with them and they sing constantly ,also with quite a bit of humour. My favourite is when eventually the ref gives them a free kick after their perceived bad luck and they sing 'it's a miracle, its a miracle.'
  23. Pes, your clubs problem is that your most prominent fans look very dim. Our experience of them are not respecting a minutes silence, smashing their own city up on more than 1 occasion plus some pretty mindless displays elsewhere.I know the majority of Pompey fans are really decent and when the Pompey fans site has been linked on here and I have read some of the stuff they are a good bunch of lads.Just normal people who care for their team. I dont wish for pompey to go out of business but get their true punishment and also go back to below us, it seems more natural that way.
  24. that brings us to birth control, now there is something i can agree with.
  25. PES you are 1 of the decent Skates. You never crowed or gloated in our darkest hours and even during your cup success. I suggest you are like most decent football fan who by the fate of birthplace support Pompey and noSaints. I believe that the FA cup was bought and if it is right for the majority Pompey get penalised. You have memories of the cup final that should if all things being equal should not have happened. Had you not spent big against all sensible financial restraints that day would not have happened, so medicine is rightly to be administered. We had ours in a very large dose
