Its noot a normal business, it relies on stupidity from people like me who attatch themselves to it just because of the pride I have of my birthplace. It is ridiculous I do realise that
-
Um of course you are right and Im feeling quite passionate today, even though I still am in denial that we will fold. Iam and have always been one of the poor fools who will accept dire stuff as I have SFC so deeplyingrained. Yes the fans do deserve a better quality of football .I dont put myself up as a great fan, I rarely go to away games, but I will defend the club against people who try and bring it down. The fans have not deserved any of the past so called leaders and the only good thing if we come out of administration will be they will all be gone.If we go throough this pain and any are still in the directors box i dont know what i will do
-
Thanks Um wont of course hold you to it.Thanks for sharing
-
Ahhhh, diddums. Starts pointing fingers then cannot hack it when others fight back... What ARE you going to do with your Saturday afternoons from now on ? [end quote] That is the type of thing that I was getting at.A sneer and jibe at fans who really are hurting whose life will be turned upside down. it wont effect you the same however much you protest it will
-
your post makes me feel a bit better. You really should give us more updates how you view Frys mindset.Afterall you all are like a bag of snakes (kidding..kind of) and we need to view it from your perspective
-
Nonsense, avoiding administration could have been achieved if the whole of the fanbase could have forgotten their predudice and attended. That would have meant accepting poor football and perhaps bad results, it would also have meant the galling dssight of Lowe but in time the gate receipts would have helped build us .This is not a defrence of |Lowe or attack on fans.It is a statement as i see it. The product is not an excuse of not turning up IMO
-
well if you dont find people wallowing with delight that the club may be fiinished then I question your mindset. It at present looks as though the -10 could be -25 or even worse no club.Fans who wouildnt turn up due to bad performances have seen nothing yet and they sure wont return as they cant stomach the bad days and only want the up side. I myself will pay for 2 s/ts whatever league we are in, and if I have to pay CCC prices to help reserrect our club by doing so be it.SFC has given me some terrible days and some unbelievable highs but I want something left for my grandchildren.Hence why Im so defensive when I read some of the negative posters oh here who would rather see the club fail than have to pay or make an effort I
-
If these supermen had not changed our foirtunes they still wouldnt have gone to games .High wages dont make guarenteed success.
-
or Fry has not been effective in giving the go ahead for the bid he had a few weeks ago.At least he would had something to either reject or go forward with
-
and the 30k a week extra was going to come from??? We were struggling to cut our overdraft as it was
-
and to get back to somewhere in football in the future we will have to pay higher than our peers to go back up.
-
People have been complacent and it is not over b ut I do think Fry did not act when he had a bid.Ok he had to do what was best for the creditors but at present that does not seem to be the case unless he has had a massive offer for the stadium
-
Like the Frost agvyn Davies bid all those years ago it was all talk I think you will find
-
Im in denial that we could fold but for every fan,, I doubt any really thought we might. Yes many argued that going into admin was the worst case, while others gloried in the thought of RL etc losing their money but in the end whatever side of the fence you are on we ALL are potentially going to be the biggest losers
-
Oh, I hadnt thought of that, make a good hockey pitch and clay pigeon shooting venue as well.RL's plan all along
-
That is the impression i got
-
they would but not imperitive to them
-
But by sayting he doesnt expect another bid surely that would leave the way for any bids to be very much lower as it is last minute. Not what the creditors want or is it as TNT alluded to that somebody has come in for just the stadium and not interested in the football club. The new buyers of the stadium will not worry if there is football played there or not and if so they will rent it to the shell of the club left to play in the blue square. i was talking to somebody who does events etc and said to him surely the stadium would have little use except for football but he thought differently, as it could be used profitably he thought for conferences and concerts etc. as a venue it could be bought at a reasonable price and probably more than the consortiums are3 offering for it. All stuff and nonsense im sure

MJ actually put a written bid on the table, ok it may not have been enough, but my understanding was that they had done enough to go forward.Pinnacles involvement confused matters and so PERHAPS MJ 's backers lost their patience and walked. MJ was only the spokeman or frontman the same as Lynham is for Pinnacle.
-
Yep he held out for Pinnacle as well.. i would Lol but
-
looks like fans had better hope MJ is not a fantacist afterall. None of his people are posting at the moment and so perhaps fry's delay may have made them walk away.Just have to hope there is better news later

What do you think of the official Saints Aid song?
OldNick replied to trousers's topic in The Saints
It is no point in sniping at any of the bands they are doing it al for the best reasons. No genre will suit all tastes and so this is the chosen one, lets hope it raises plenty of money -
Interesting you put that TNT.

Sounds like a lot of businesses at present that why I can spend ages looking on here!!
