  1. Duncan I find your claim about MC being 'physically' intimidated quite disconcerting. Are you saying he has laid hands on her in a threatening way? Can you enlighten us alos to the 'people who were involved in the figure work and figures at the time'? This meeting seems quite interesting and perhaps even enlightening, was LM there as well?
  2. I enjoy reading his jousts with UM and FF always entertaining.
  3. How about we share the honour
  4. thats true lol
  5. and how do you know this? I know he has been out of work for a long time and might need the job/buzz again but why would we be such a draw to him.If he brought that tw##' Heath with him i may be forced to do something drastic.
  6. I do understand and I also have sqaid on here it should be 1 out all out. The debate does get polarised to RL/LC .I have noticed in the last few weeks where people like myself have mentioned the others in the background that posts are now becoming more prevailent about the damage they have done. I think the White Witch should be recalled to lift the curse on us again.
  7. The trouble is a lot of our players are such a high wage for their quality we cant get the wage bill down easily. So the mismanagement only started this season Lol. it started decades ago, we highs and very many more lows.We then had a time of changing of managers for various reasons (not all our own making) and we got relegated again for various reasons.Yes RL made some appalling mistakes but he was not the only one to blame. The Wilde bunch came around and a vast majority of fans chose him.It is funny that the fans are wanting to apportion blame to the chairman for bad decisions and then convieniently fail to see their own MASSIVE mistake. RL should go for his staying with Jan too long and sadly also not down to his importance but as the fans will never be united with him. I have been told that the fans protests do not faze him and in a way he enjoys being the pantomime villain, I doubt marches or singing songs about him will get him to step down. He probably believes that we will get out of it still and if so all those defeatists will have to eat a bit of humble pie. I will not be persuaded that the unrest is there solely because of who is chairman , I firmly believe that it is due to the fact that we are facing relegation and so turn our angst against whoever we can thrash out at.He is somebody we can all aim our anger at.
  8. You should listen to the Steve Wright show in the afternoon. RL has nothing on him, unless you say how wonderful the show is etc you will never get a message read out.
  9. You may but many would complain that the free buses were topped the Itchen corner closed or we had signed last years Euro footballer of the4 year and not the current one. Even under LM there were fans questioning his decisions including me I may add.
  10. It tells us we are abysmal when he plays for us if your analysis is fair
  11. but he is right, if those things happened now or under RL fans would be banging on about it.
  12. Well I dont believe that the club made any attempt to embrace us as fans when we were kids in the late 1960's early 70's. As I have stated before fans like myself as 8-10 year old kids being thrown out of the club car park while we waited for the players autographs.I suggest that John Corbett was our chairman at that time. The club has been an old pals act for generations but only for commercial reasons did the club become 'family friendly' Obviously I have had my opinions formed by those days but it happened and so that is why i am cynical about it.
  13. Apart from that what have the Romans done for us.
  14. Well the powers to regulate the financial system was taken away when Labour came into power. It was then left as a self regulatory system for the FSA.
  15. Gregory and Deacon put a lot more into the club than the crowd we have of course.
  16. Iam with you and very critical of RL due to the fact.I keep getting positives from people(at the club who are close to what is happening) about Wotte since he has taken over and whilst my positves have yet to be rewarded i can sense that there are some good things happening behind the scenes.I know the results havent shown that yet.
  17. i was careful not to put you in that bracket Ump because that is not what I put you down as.
  18. Lol, no I dont think MLT was playing for us then. I do realise you were being just a ad pedantic you old tease you.I of course meant we have been in holes before and got out of worse ones than now.
  19. But they are only prohetic if it comes to pass.Do you not agree with the folly of sayong we are relegated already with 14 games to go? To me that is defeatis to the highest degree. as for the doom mongers, some I have the greatest respect for as they were at least seeing it from an even prospective while some are doom mongers for doom monger sake. it was fairly evident that if yuo took the risk the club did things may turn out bad, it was a case of giving it a chnace to fail before being completely down on it
  20. i dont know how long you have followed saints but in my time i have seen us in many worse states than now.I agree we haven't got a MLT but a flukey win will change things for us.The pressure by us winning a couple would put pressure on thise above. In fact our worse time would be if we get 4 points above as we would crumble if the pressure from below us.Charlton have won and are catching us, and so we are not the only ones looking rt o drag our way out of this mess.
  21. Thanks for that, Id have hated to have to come on and apologise for getting it wrong
  22. Interestingly Pompey went into terminal decline then as well.
  23. Alps we have 42 points to play for and 5 adrift. If we were 5 points clear and knew that the team below us had 14 games to play would you realistically believe we were safe. Defeatism on here is all around, its like France 1940.
  24. That was 1 I was alluding to.
