fair comment, but when we had in the past half performing experienced players they would keep their place due to reputation and the kid would be left out as they weren't ready. Unless they are played it is hrd to tell. Gobern saturday(I know 1 swallow and all that) would not have been anyewhere near first team football in the past, and os it is quite refreshing to see this unfolding.

they are so jammy, what is it about them getting these decisions time and again. It may not help as I dislike Benitez and the Liverpool fans but they do seem to get a lot of luck.

Are we better off than when Crouch was here?
OldNick replied to Channon's Sideburns's topic in The Saints
Well the timings are just right then. There is no way he would have taken us over IMO as he loves the Skates too much and would not do a Harry on them IMO anyway. What would he do if he had come, turn us into Pompeys training ground I suspect. -
if we ever did happen to be taken over would you still want us to carry on with the Jan experiment (if you can call it that) or immediately go to the trusted experienced player who have been there before route to try and get us back? I am torn, as I have enjoyed watching these lads having a go.Frustrating as it is, I would be reticent to see things go back to the old way. Perhaps the only advantage would be if we could just add a couple and I mean a couple of the older experienced players to the team

That is reassuring Mick, the sooner the fans can get a clear vision we all will enjoy football more -
we've been here all the time. You have missed me...and you are?

we are talking Perry but as for Killer i think they have decided not to rush him and with Lancashire and Pearce there is no need too especially as we have Perry in reserve once his sickness bug (i think it was ) has cleared

I do hope he is a season long loan and not just til january, we cant afford him back on the books

Fulham will be around about the drop, Wigan Bolton. Pompey will easily avoid the drop unless the Met get their case to stick or there is a massive exodus of players.

Saints were geared up after 27 years in the PL as a PL club. it is hard then to cut the costs back. Norwich's fanbase has held up well that is the surprise to me.

With Saints i do not expect anything. Some believed that by getting rid of something like 20 players and then spending on replacements that we should be guarenteed promotion.I did not think so myself. I wanted to keep faith with HR and argued that he would turn things around, many didnt believe in him and wanted him gone. We then had Gb who again i thought was ok but again fans lost faith. We then got what i had tried to point out we woud get D&G and that was nearly a disaster. The club was then in tailspin and NP joined us. he brought in 2 defenders and a keeper to cover for KD and we scraped out of it. I was not enampured by him and doubted he was/is that good. I was happy for him to stay as the fans in general were united but I believe we would be worse off now if he had the same constraints, bu it is my opinion it is not fact, just opinion. -

Look you can hope leicester do well, I dont as I cant stand MM. NP is not the begin all and end all for me and he is in our past like all the rest. I think I heard untilsaturday they had only got 1 point in 4 and the fans were starting to get on NP's back. They like us think that they should be playing in a higher league and i doubt they jumpoed for joy when he was appointed. You get all dewey eyed because he saved us from rellegation last day with 20minutes to spare because Leicester and coventry slipped up. I was pleased he did so but dont see him as a saviour but someone who did what we needed at that time. He has the tools at Leicester and so lets see if he can use them,as they are far more expensive than the ones we have here. -

Its amazing how the sites are the same in oh so many ways. Some are defending him, although dont seem over the moon but fair while others are out for him. -

I never was deluded enough to think we were guarenteed promotion candidates.NP also has not lost his prime players, so the only game set and match you could win is a game of Solo. -

what results? Most agree the squad he has at Leicester should be a guarenteed top 2 side. It would be poor if they do not make the top 2.It is sobering for us to see them not walkingaway with it as they look a stronger outfit than us and if we went down!!!!!!! -
but that doesnt stop the rumours. We had loads of world stars perportedly going to Pompey before and after transfer windows in the past.

I found it interesting watching the Championship the commentator mentioning the boo boys were heard during Leicesters last minute home win saturday.Perhaps they are not so patient or excited about NP. If MM was not chairman there I might wish them to do better. -
have we scored 3 goals or more every time we have won this season then DD?
-
that's true but is was a weapon that was not used to its fullest as the fans got on the players back as soon as he made a run up to take it. Also notice the last line of the original post, I thankyou
-
its so Saints fans, the players give their shirts to fans knowing it is going to cost them, and we still have fans say 'well they can afford it.' Well no doubt all those saying it can afford to chuck £20+ into the Remembrance day buckets for the Poppy appeal but i bet most don't Why cant some accept it as it is, a gesture buy the players

All the Pompey transfer gossip threads have gone.

Preston 2-3 Saints - You've Gotta be Havin' a Laugh
OldNick replied to Arizona's topic in The Saints
DD its not about being only 45 mins of football, it is a case of how the fans at games in the main have been patienbt. The players apreciate and want to repay them. The fans and team united are far more of a opponent than divided ones. Knowing saints it will all fall apart saturday but I live in hope it doesnt. -
the last thing you can call UMP is pro lowe so you are out of order.

They do have to fork out if they give their shirts away, it happens at most clubs.
