  1. I support Hampshire at cricket and so why not. Knowing my luck as a Saints fan, just as we merged the FA would bring their charges of corruption against Pompey and we would both be ejected from the league.
  2. It wasnt me
  3. The last thing I want to do is carry a banner...with my bad back and all that. Instead of Lowe In, could I abrieviate it so it wasnt so bulky to L I .......oh
  4. I dont think it will be for freeing up wages as RL was here when he was signed (I think so anyway)
  5. As much as I love saints I hate them as much at the same time!!! Why they do it to us I dont know. All Saints fans are special and I for 1 dont take the criticism to heart . As for all the young kids who come on here, I hope you have a great time and get more than a lump of coal and a shrivelled up orange in your stocking like we did in our days......
  6. I cant believe it.Another reason to my mind that Jan really is not fit to manage our club. Wotton has the steel to let the youngsters develop, much like Case did for us years ago.
  7. Sorry Le GOd I wasnt thinking about a banner just at half time. I was more concerned about others who will be less thoughtful and have it there all game.
  8. even those Saints fans who dont agree with my opinions. I have been cursed by being a saints fan and so I wish all fellow cursed souls, A very happy christmas and a prosperous new year
  9. Please no, I am really not looking forward to the Reading game or any game now as we are going to have the anti Lowe stuff ruining the atmosphere. The Reading staff will rub their hands in expectation knowing the club is in turmoil
  10. The concept of getting the squad to a hotel and training during that time is valid. It didnt help on the night but I can't see the club trying to be pro active being wrong. As RL is tighter than a badgers thing I doubt that it wasn't considered thoroughly before giving it the go ahead. I do agree it was an expense that needs looing at but i doubt it was anywhere near 25k
  11. Long shots wording implies a long stay it was not.
  12. It was a 2 day/night break after the Burnley game.I dont know the travel arrangements but if they left from the nearest airport up north they would have returned monday.Trained on tuesday. I dont like the players going on drinking binges (if that is what indeed happened ) but it is not as sinister as some are making out.I would be more concerned if it was on thursday -friday
  13. That is FALSE
  14. what would have richard Wright been on? After all he wasa PL player who had been the subject to some big transfers and at WHU who pay stupid wages until recently
  15. I dont know you except by reputation and the last thing I would point at you is ever4 letting the club down.
  16. I dont thin kRL would sell to him unless it was a fantastic price but perhaps MW would if it was above the going rate.
  17. I thought you lived in Southampton then Alps
  18. 1965, I cant believe a fan who could do something to save the club we love will sit back just to buy it on the cheap. If I was in the situation I wouldnt care if I was buying it from Pol Pot if it meant saving it from administration the potential loss of poiunts and this leagues status.Everyu pound potentially saved would be lost 4 or 5 times by relegation and the investment needed to return. I cant believe peoples dislike for RL and hope him ;losing money would be at the ezpense of our club. If we go down I cant see us ever retruning. If LC is in thep osition to buy MW's shares he should do so. Noone will be able to stop him and he would get a premium. I know he would then have to buy the rest of the shares but with a value at present of 6-7m it is not beyond him. From the little I see from today none of them come out of it with any credit. What a shambles, egos and arrogance from all sides win again.RL has a steely belief he is right and it seems unshakable, I do hope his plans include changing the manager very soon with a good experienced man.
  19. wasnt me , not enough grammar and spelling mistakes.
  20. I have not had time to read all the pages and so will do so. From what I have read so far, RL was arrogant (what a surprise) and blaming others. I agree there is blame to apportion to many not just 1. I call for the lot to go. Walking out achieved nothing in fact it surprises me that was done.It gave RL the moral high ground and made his job a lot easier. Get LC to buy the shares of MW and its job done.Im sure he will accept above 25p a share and so LC can then lead us forward,I cant see the problem.LM can buy a big tranche with the money he gained from the sale of shares a few years back and then the picture can be put back where it should be. Can you see my frustration, we have lots of people talking a good game but they dont come up with the goods.
  21. I do business with a few SA's and they have real trouble getting money out and so I would expect people trying to buy a fotball club could have problems.Of course they may already have assets abroad that could make it easier.I would myself be suspisious of anyone wishing to buy into football as it is quickly becoming.
  22. Do you know posts like that are more likely to make people stiffen their resolve. Jonah is within his rights to post his opinion and to be fair much of it resounds with me as well.If you are not bright enough to debate you should keep to posting to others who can only deal in school playground jibes. Put your points forward and then argue the point, it is more fun
  23. Roger you would know MC from your sporting connections, get her to tell us who is there to take over the reins and give us a financial lift. I dont care who is chairman as long as the club is run on a sound financial footing.I watched as the masses cele=brated in glory last time we had our 'saviours'. All those who swore that not to worry the new people were putting fans first and no players were going to be sold. Well after the directors box was enlarged so they were more comfy it seemed to come to an abrupt end. Put forward a crefdible change and Im with you. The removal of RL would cost the club a lot of money again unless somebody buys him out.LC it is said is wealthy enough why doesnt he act, he must be able to make MW an very good offer and then he is the kingmaker.Perhaps he is all talk, who knows. As for world class football , that is madness.
  24. Sadly he hasnt sacked him yet. If falling on your sword for employing a bad manager is reason to resign then there would be thoudsands of culls a week around the country. It would also mean that Jan will never lose his job as RL would not do so if it meant stepping down. Who is stepping forward to take over by the way?
  25. I wasnt there and so will wait for a neutral view of the procededings. All due respect some are so anti that we may not be getting a balanced view of things. i agree that the letter was stupid and why would he think the need to read it out anyway.Did he do so in answer to criticism. RC is RC and he did a stupid thing throwing the coins, he was rightly ejected. Im amazed that a clever man like LM who knows the ropes got involved in the slanging. I do not like the reply Ann McMenemy got regarding LM's picture (Iam not his greatest fan of him after he left us in the 80's) but would like him to be properly recognised. I hope we dont have the anti Lowe songs at SMS as it will not help our young side, who are playing badlty enough at home recently.
