  1. That sounds plausible I was told jan is given the teamsheet but yours would seem more sensible but who knows.Only a few know the full truth. I do know that the club are really trying to stamp out leaks of info and so there is a real fear that anyone a bit loose in their words may get caught out and be fired.
  2. Isnt it funny your double standards. You highlight my opinion and then rubbish the fact and then put up your statement regarding Rudi. LOL
  3. LS all due respect but on this occasion I myself would go with Jimmy Case on this as he played for quite a few teams over the years. You may be right but as you were in the media I suspect you were having a tea and sandwich in the press room rather than be walking around the dressing rooms 5 minutes before kick off. If it was LC wishing the team luck i doubt there would be any notice taken, I wouldnt worry if he had. Askham Im sure never would have because i dont think he would know anything about football even though he has been involved for decades.
  4. Vectis very true and you should accpet that nobody wants to offload the best however much you dislike RL. As I have pointed out before if we manage to avoid administration then those players getting off our wage bill have saved us -10 / -15 points this season and that is more than they would gain us if they played. We are hardly cut adrift yet although if we fail to pick up points in the coming weeks then we will be so.
  5. A win at Preston will not put 3000 on the gate. A few hundred as fans have seen false dawns too often to be easily convinced to return.Add the fact its on tv on a saturday night and some may miss Xfactor then I beleive you are wide of the mark. Listening to the interview the player did not seem too scathing of RL wishing them luck.

    Lallana

well whoopee do lets hope he lerns to stoke the ball in from 25yards on many occasions.
  7. but when I said DMG was not guarenteed a place that was not believed. Dont just pick the things that suit your arguement Alpine.

    Lallana

i think Lallana is a wonderful prospect. Last night he was not so much in the game but still showed some really great skills. My greatest concern about him in the scoring stakes is that he doesn't seem to have any power in his shooting but relies on sidefooting the ball.
  9. Alpine you are odd, you take an honest assessment and then try and make out that it was a dig.Rudi played OK, but he made a massive mistake that set up Morrison and the ball was kicked off the line, had we gone 1 down it would have been fatal. And yes he did not look worht a massive paypacket as he was no better than the majority of the kids and had you asked a neutral 'who is the 1.6m pound player in our side they probably would have said Euell, DMG , Morgan or Cork.
  10. from what I have been told RL has input to team selection,. I have also been told that he has NO input into training and team talks except to wish the players good luck etc. I also know that DMG has not been guarenteed a start. So yes he does have an input, something that I voiced to you privately and said to you in that PM I didnt wish to make it public as the club does not need all the pressure that goes with the fans potentially being on the back of a 'chosen team' So if you wish to use the fact that RL does have input into team selection then you also should accept that he does not have any part in the rest. I am not happy that he is doing so and do not support the fact. I also do not support fans embroidering an innocent fact of RL wishing the team luck (like most other chairman) into doing team talks.
  11. Um, I dont know if you listen to Radio Hants, but when DMG said about him going into the dressing room he told us that he went in to wish the players luck etc. He went to the training ground earlier in the day to reassure the players about the clubs situation as they may be concerned. After DMG had finished his interview Jimmy Case who is not a fan of RL, said we shouldnt take too much into this as MOST chairman go into the dressing room before the game to wish the players luck ad give them 'you can beat them' type things. Whilst i dont like RL's input into team matters he is not giving team talks. I fear we ALL are taking too much attention to the politics rather than the football, which apart from the disappointing fnal score was a good entertaining game.I enjoyed the game as it was full of inventive and pleasing football. As long as we can stay up next season will be far more enjoyable.
  12. If you were at the game last night I'b be surprised at your comment. DMG was one of our better players and looked well worth his place in the team
  13. some very attractive football Euell really up for it.Rudi did ok apart from his header that set them up , although he didnt look worth a big paypacket compared to the others. DMG reall y worked hard and he admitted in his interview he worked harder than he has before (I hope the penny has dropped that to become a fans favouite you dont rely on scoring) Jan made a big mistake not taking Thompson off as soon as we scored and made us more solid. Even when he made the sub IMO he should have brought BWP on as he is stronger than Smith, or Gobern to tighten things up. Considering all the fans on the prediction thread expecting us to lose by at least 3then it was a good result.MOM Euell
  14. SISU is a hedge fund isnt it? there a few of those on the brink so I wouldnt be so sure.
  15. could you not tell some of those Yanks who want to get Obama HR is really black
  16. yep Bennetton would have him in an advertising campaign.
  17. I remember how bad Ross took it when it looked like his misses had f####d off. He wouldnt like it if he had a message about her on the voicemail
  18. it was a shame it was only boos. I cant beleieve he had the cheek to attend.
  19. Amazing Blue Square League now, and that's from someone who thinks it would be good to go into administration which is more likely to propell us that way.
  20. boardroom upheaval got us nothing last time, and will do the same again , unless they invest big time. I believe that this season is the one with the most pain and if we survive in this league next season will be easier. The young players would have cut their teeth and a few more players will be brought in to strengthen the squad to make a bettter mix. I dont care what anyone else says in my mind those young players do care and do want to win for us and their own pride.
  21. The debt is a fallout from moving from the Dell , but if we worried about that the Dell would never have been built as the board would have said lets not bother building the Dell this old park is ok as you never know we might get relegated one day. The ground was built as a move forward, it was easily manageable debt in the Pl and we can still pay for it now. What we need is the team to win a few games and get the crowds back through the turnstiles (although another 10k might not be enough)
  22. I dont agree with that. I think you are being a little dewey eyed about those days when we were fighting relegation. There were loads who didnt think we would win and couldnt see where the next point was coming from. As for 'die for the cause' those young lads have spent more time at the club than a lot of fans and do want to do well . Dont fall for the 'they dont care' mantra because they do.
  23. I think you understand fotball but I am not so sure about the finance bit
  24. Offix I dont know why you moved to the Usa but it may have been to improve things and have a better life in comfortable surroundings. We moved to a new stadium where there was a modicum of civilisation , where the kids and women were safer and the facilities better.Of all the things we should not regret is the new stadium. I have played different sports over the years and one thing that I notice is that the kids are not interested in joining clubs/teams with old facilities. The old fashioned clubs have started to lose out to the the Hampshire/ David Lloyds of the world. Yes the Dell was superb in our memories but that didnt stop Gearge Best taking the p### or Ian Wright scoring hattricks and us taking some real beatings. It is down to the fact we got relegated due to a lot of factors at that time. The stadium is not the reason for our demise

    Rudi Skacel

Some of that is true to say. A free agent normally doesnt have so much leeway as they are not sittig on a comfy contract and so more ameinable in the negotiations. They also would not be in such a strong bargaining position in the relocation issue either. Yes you are right there would be a small amount of money available after Rasiak, Saga and the like were taken off the wage bill. If we had kept NP would he have been able to stomach losing all his senior players like the club has decided as the best way forward? It is a massive ask of anyone and so NP would or whoever would have a terrible time. I wanted NP to stay for the unity he provided, but as a football manager I wasnt that impressed, but it is only my opinion.
