  1. It depends how you look at it.BWP might be like his father a late developer and the last few games he has shown more of what we hope for.DMG I think is still only 19or 20 and so is still raw, but also has scored 5 league goals.
  2. I think you are correct in a lot of that. I dont think it was overestimating but perhaps the most effective way of keeping us out of administration. It was not RL as far as Im aware who put on a youngster instead of the experienced Wotton when we were trying to hold on for a victory. His mental strength woud have been benificial IMO. Jan has only just realised that Perry should play and so he should hurry up and come to terms that with 10 minutes to go and 1 up you shut up shop and not stay open to the sucker punch.
  3. I hold my hand up and was always doubtful that Shearer was that good after some of his poor finishinjg.Of course he was still learning his game and then went on.DMG and BWP are still learnoing and young enough to make the next level. The players I listed are not to my taste and Ormerod was a forward and his job was to score ,something he didnt do enough IMHO

I still stand by my assertion that DMG is going to be a very good player and many will eat their words.

seeing the goal I agree Gillette was slow to get to Tuguy. It was a poor goal to concede to have a player unmarked in the d
  6. yes its amazing when we have had the pleasure of watching such clinical finishers as Dowie,Saul,Basham, Puttock, Heaney, Ormerod,Flash, and many more lethal goalscorers I cant bring myself to recall over the years
  7. as long as we are up to date with cusoms and revenue we should be ok, at present I get the impression we are
  8. surely if the bank call in or reduce our overdraft then the directors will be forced to put us into administration.
  9. I cant recall the goal that was Lallanas but Im just trying to be even handed. If DMG had the same stats as AL then we would be in deeper sh##. I dont want to erode any of the young players confidence and so wish for fans to see that both add to the team.
  10. your life must be missing something if we are you heroes.I must admit you are not a bad judge in them though
  11. it may be time to rest him for a few games.People knok DMG but he has scored quite a few goals but Lallana is short in that department.I want him to progress and he needs to learn to be more pro active where it matters
  12. you are fast becoming a stalker. I dont like RL but am open minded enough to see the plan he wants the club to go forward. How's Crouchie is he up yet
  13. Well your arrogance that fans only dislike RL are as bad as some of the things that have come from the man you dislike.
  14. Thanks Windows.

    Dear Rupert

I did say the fans at the game have been supportive. The root cause is of course lack of winning /relegation and our expectancy. It is classic Catch 22
  16. what was the attendance? i cant find it anywhere

    Dear Rupert

The problem with footbal compared to other businesses the fans/customers (as you put it) do make a diffeence to the companies/business/teams performance. If customers walked into the high street businesses everyday berating the employees you soon would get a disenchanted workforce. Many wont have it but the fans/customers make a massive difference.I would say that the fans at games are very supportive nad understanding but the players must feel the pressure of expectancy.
  18. That is pertinent.I would from my standpoint like to see Jason played up front to help the young lads up there. It would be the most cost effective and simple way of beefing up the frontline without taking on more costs. I doubt that SJ would have scored 10 goals yet the same as the other 2 out on loan.In fact we only needed a goalscorer to have scored 5 to have got 5 or 6 more points, and so both routes could be correct. The safest way is to definately avoid administration and so not have the points penalty
  19. No Weston it is the way I put it badlt. I meant as in points gained or lost not in financial terms.Sorry for the badly worded post

    Dear Rupert

Um I didnt go. Did Jan leave the team open or did he try and stiffen up the defensive midfield?
  21. I dont argue with that. Administration will cost us more than a highly paid scorer would gain IMO
  22. I have no doubt we will lose. I have bought tiockets for the game because foolishly I cling to the hope we might cause an upset. I want ot see our young players up against the Man u but I do fear a hammering but I still will go and however we are opposed we will both be screaming for Saints
  23. without a doubt he causes divisions. To me he is the best bet for keeping us out of administration at the moment.I would love to win the lottery and get rid of the whole lot and let the club grow but I can see the way we are going may be ther best longterm. The fans saying about winning at hime are 100% right.I would be happy for us to win ugly, but that is only short term.A team that knows how to play in an entertaining way that also also finds out how you win in the long term will be good. I myself have yet to defend jan because i am not sure of his ability.I do know that he is a nicew bloke but I worry he is naive and instead of shutting up shop he leaves us open. I have just seen Sheff weds goal and it was a soft goal. Did he bring on Wooton to close the game down or play it attacking right to the end?
  24. I dont know why and so it is hard to say.I think the club would rather not have his wages. I dont have the nice cosy opinion of Saints being a nice friendly club.It wasnt when i was a kid, the club was far from embracing the young fans then.
