This was the game when the stadium announcer for some reason when we were 1 down with a few minutes to go came on and said 'Will all those in the Archers sit down' like a red rag to a bull this made them all stand up and start singing. It seemed to energise us and terrify the Magpies and they crumbled. It was remarkable. Whoever the announcer was , he was a hero and hopefully knew what he was doing

'Danny Ings was quality', Just sorted your predictive text for you

Lenny Henry without doubt the unfunniest person. Amazing how in his past how he played the stereotype native never gets picked up. I didnt find it amusing at the time, but he conveniently sweeps his stuff under the carpet

Is this thread a slow cooker. Lol

The Athletic article about Saints' mystery injuries around 60mins
OldNick replied to Saint NL's topic in The Saints
There is the concern that refs may now play on if they feel this is a ruse. I assume when Dan Sheldon first put this out that whoever told him that it was ok to make this open. -

I think he needs to make a statement if this is the case or not. If he doesnt the rumour will get bigger and his job will be untenable. Strange that Totalpodcast have him on if this is the case, but to be fair I dont think he shows a bias against us, and was surprised when I first saw this accusation -
did you see Hoj snub Conte at the end when Conte went to hug hojberg, he just stood there arms open flabbergasted before shouting oaths at him

My god ,I stupidly read Factless' report of the Oxford game. He really is the Comical Ali of football journalism. Yes again he knows how to rub up to the Pompey fans. Herosim, backs to the wall, fantastic support, even the opposition thought the player shouldnt be sent off and of course it was the refs fault etc etc I wonder why he hasnt been snapped up by a bigger paper

Didnt Long score at Swansea?

Not sure that we are safe to be complacent in the league. All the clubs below have strengthened and we have stood still.

I havent forgotten those days Charlie, but from a young age it was instilled in me BBP ( business before pleasure) I worked very hard and also played hard but not to the detriment of my long term prospects. Delli seems to me to have enjoyed the trappings a bot more than he should. He can have his cake and eat it but he is eating too much cake and that is slowing his future down

I think the only way to get him to join is to roll Kenzei out to do an interview. He seems more interested in pretty girls than actually playing football. If he didnt upset what seems a decent dressing room I think he would be an exciting signing

Shocking Secret Climate Report by The Pentagon
OldNick replied to Guided Missile's topic in The Lounge
I didnt mean to imply that, not guessing, the person had filled his home with modern imported items. I dont care if you or anyone else like antiques ( I was not saying they should buy those) if they wish they should perhaps do what you did look for second hand/recycled alternatives. It is good to see so many young looking in this area of recycling an already manufactured item. I see so much being put on skips it is very sad. The vast majority of timber is imported and if you have had a pine table made yes that is easily sustainable, oak and hardwoods not so easy as they take so long to grow. Most still is imported and so there are environmental concerns to this. Anyway my concern is that people who tell us the way to live perhaps should also look at their own purchasing. -
thats politics for you. I think this stuff has been going on forever and a day. Just wait for the New Years Honours

I dont know why we are surprised that politicians believe that the law is for other people! I wonder how many work in Downing Street everyday? Therefore having a gathering is probably expected, I dont condone it at all. Boris lost me after he switched sides in the Brexit debacle. (not that I ever liked him) especially as a top politician told me that he was completely crazy and a liar

Shocking Secret Climate Report by The Pentagon

A customer visited my business and told me his son writes papers on climate change. Selling antiques is a very green product and uses little material to add to the worlds waste. He told me that his son doesnt care for such items but but buys modern furniture. So I couldnt quite square that here is a man who tells us that the world is in dire condition but buys items that are imported form China, to be used for 3-4years to be then changed for more furniture that has to come from China etc etc etc. It is ridiculous these academics preaching and then not following the path they say -
Funnily enogh I watched one of these last night, it was Ipswich v Spurs and Spurs were kicking 6 bails out of Ipswich and Bobby Robson came on saying that about it. Keith Burkinshaw came on and said something like, its not a game for cry babies and football is not as tough as it used to be. I reckon 5 or 6 reds nowadays. Im pleased its not like that now as skilful players were kicked out of the game

did you notice Perraud subtly kick KDB as the ball went for a corner lol

what had you done wrong to deserve that?

Garth Crooks is on the BBC for just one reason, its not his footballing knowledge. I couldnt give a toss who he picks as he is a moron
-
i doubt you can hear it as i suspect you start the booing. 5 assists for goals, add to that there would be other chances that were not taken. Thank god you are not picking the team
-
what went wrong was that KWP should have blocked Le Portes run, he didnt and so he broke through the lines. As for Souness and his tirade was ridiculous, a player who breaks the line makes the whole strategy fall down. They are disaplined and if done correctly very effective

Bobby Moore v Pele in the 1970 WC was slightly better but this was class
