Yes he wasn’t listed on the ‘B’ U21 list either, think for U21 you have to be born on or after 1 January 1997 for this season. James Fuller’s signed on a two year deal from Middlesex, again a good county pro with talent in white-ball cricket but will probably be disliked by most as A. He’s not an opening batsman and B. I agree on all of the points. Just think it’s difficult to find young quick bowlers to sign/who are available. We went after Gleeson before he went to Lancs and Jordan Clark but we should be prioritising batsmen, but we need to keep our bowling at the level it is so I think he’s a good signing as he won’t be on a great amount and is a different option from what we have. Realistically we did need another seamer though as Berg, Edwards aren’t going to be around for ever and Wheal still coming back from injury plus our overseas probably being an opening bat next year, and as a left hander it’s a different option. 31 is still pretty young for a cricketer and as a late starter he’s probably got around 5 years left in him. Blackmore‘s gone back to being supportive of almost everything the club and Hughes are doing now since Pellegrino was sacked, he let Reed and Kruger off very lightly by deflecting questions or changing them so they weren’t so harsh, he’s been very supportive of the way the teams played or been set up despite it clearly not working. Hughes has a worse win percentage than Pellegrino and we only stayed up last season because there were 3 teams worse than us. He’s a dreadful manager who plays dull route one football, has worsened us defensively and allowed our squad to become bloated with average to dreadful footballs, the quicker he goes the better. Hughes’ second striker (which is what ings would be) in his 3-3-2-2 system he’s been using has to be able to drop into midfield to pick the ball up, something Ings is not very good at as he’s at best a poacher. And most people of Twitter or on here when Ings has been mentioned seem to be more for Ings signing due to his local connections despite his clear lack of ability and chronic injury problems.
