Someone like Dragovic would be exceptional, but probably out of our league Not that impressed with Martins Indi, plus as Clarkey says he settled at Porto so couldn't see him moving. Not seen a lot of Moreno, so will have to bow to other peoples superior knowledge on him Van Dijk would at least fill our one signing a season from Celtic quota!

I'm just trying to establish why it's worth us bidding €20m to 'trump' Spurs, if their offer has already been accepted and cannot be 'undone' - surely if the playing is stalling then we just need to match the Spurs offer, especially as we have the £1.5m to play with too? Obviously if bidding €20m means they turn to us and blow Spurs out, then I'm all for it. But I'm not sure if they can, especially as they seem quite far down the line.

Yeah that was a complete abomination of a defensive display (both the semi and final) I did see a few other games, plus have a mate who is a season ticket holder down there. He seemed to think that Stephens was a lot more comfortable on the ball and liked to get forward. Reckoned he would make a decent midfielder or RB/RWB

Fair play to him, all I saw was him getting caught out of position and letting his men get goal side of him. Maybe they were isolated incidents, though I think CB is probably one of the hardest places to bring a youngster through

Big season for JWP, time for him to step up and cement a place this year. I think we'll probably see a lot more of Hesketh, if he bulks out a bit he could be a great player

Thought Turnbull was pants when I watched him play for Swindon, Stephens has got the better chance in my opinion. Suspect both will be loaned out again next season
