Master Bates Posted 25 June, 2009 Share Posted 25 June, 2009 (edited) Did Marc Jackson say he'd spoken to Peter Reid? Peter Reid says "I knew nothing until I was contacted by the Echo " In today's Echo he denies the link saying that the first he heard about it was when the Echo phoned him. He says he plans to see out his 4 year contract with Thailand, which started in September, but admitted that could change if he was offered a job for a club like Southampton. Master Bates Posted 25 June, 2009 Author Share Posted 25 June, 2009 Also, Pinnacle were still in discussions last night with FL. There was a suggestion that Pinnacle will find a way to fund the wages today somehow.

qwertySFC Posted 25 June, 2009 Share Posted 25 June, 2009 The bid, which is being fronted by south coast businessmen Stuart Green and Marc Jackson, has already lined up Thailand manager Peter Reid to lead the team in League One. The Echo exclusively revealed yesterday that former Saints and England midfielder Reid was being courted for the St Mary’s job. 2 Quotes , only the Echo seem to be insisting its on the cards, you can court anyone , its like drawing up a list only the Echo seems to taking it as a done deal.... typical Echo , thats why i don't buy it .... Burger Posted 25 June, 2009 Share Posted 25 June, 2009 Good old Echo....there is an easy way to get two stories. First make it up, second - prove yourself wrong. Second story in this case is much better....Peter Reid not linked to SFC job

Crab Lungs Posted 25 June, 2009 Share Posted 25 June, 2009 To be fair, I think Peter Reid is an excellent manager, especially a good coup if we get him whilst we are in L1. However, I do not want Marc Jackson anywhere near SFC...
