The9 Posted 3 July, 2009 Share Posted 3 July, 2009 http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/eng_conf/8132775.stm Farsley Celtic have gone into Admin - note the bit about "the Leagues' constitutions being set" - nowhere for them to go, and thus nowhere for AFC Saints Purple Monkey Dishwasher Southampton St Mary's 2009 either. VectisSaint Posted 3 July, 2009 Share Posted 3 July, 2009 (edited) Farsley spokesman Philip Morris told BBC Radio Leeds: "There is a right to appeal" Yeah, good luck on that one mate! There may be a right to appeal within the Blue Square League (or at least the BSL may actually allow appeals, unlike the FL) Spotted afterwards that they plan to appeal to the FA, who have upheld appeals in the past. Wonder why we don't appeal to the FA, rather than the FL. Edited 3 July, 2009 by VectisSaint

spyinthesky Posted 3 July, 2009 Share Posted 3 July, 2009 I played for Farsley Celtic many moons ago in the Yorkshire League. Bobby & Jack's other brother also played for them at the time. Bit of a big buggar as I remember him

SaintDonkey Posted 3 July, 2009 Share Posted 3 July, 2009 When are you tossers going to understand the rules.... WE HAD SEVEN DAYS TO APPEAL BUT DIDN'T. SIMPLES! We ****ed up.... not the League... FFS BTW where does this 'seven day' thing come from? According to the league rules 77.2 Any party wishing to appeal against a decision of the FDC must, within 28 days of the making of the final order by the FDC, serve on the Executive and any other party to the original proceedings: 77.2.1 written notice of the intention to appeal; and 77.2.2 a statement setting out the grounds of the appeal. http://www.football-league.co.uk/staticFiles/78/3/0,,10794~888,00.pdf Which says we needed to lodge an intention to appeal with 28 days not seven. It's splitting hairs since 28 days had long past by the time Pinnacle were told they couldn't appeal, but I'm curious as to why some people on this board seem to be so passionate about it being 7 days.
