I think they have responded to the volume of issues that were raised. I am 7km from the exchange on a crap broadband speed, I set all the videos to low and after an intermittent start I can now watch the streams with very few pain in the backside buffers.

So now despite being 3rd division you can still get a reasonable fix of Saints.

Definite improvement from Saints TV days - match highlights with commentary, and good interviews with players and AP; who has impressed me with his direct, analytical commentary on the team and the rebuilding process. SAints Player is worth paying for.

Two minutes of highlights for the Brentford and Birmingham games. SaintsTV used to have at least 10 minutes... No highlights from Premiership years/Championship years.

SaintsTV owns this.

Saintstv was owned by the club.

Saintsplayer is run by a different company who do the same for every club in (I believe) the FL, although it might just be League One.

Yeah it seems to work fine...even though I'm paying TWO subscriptions...I really need to sort that out!

Same, I thought the first one had just messed up - didn't see the small print saying the subscription would not start for another 7 days, when the money was taken from the account.

Live match commentary has never worked for me. I have latest version of Flash (windows XP), have tried live commentary on IE, Google Chrome, Safari, and Firefox --- still no luck (message says "Please wait - connecting to stream"). I can access the match highlights and every other part of Saints Player just can't listen to the live games. Subscribed to SaintsTV for 3 years and never had any problems. Am stuck in Canada so don't have any other radio streams to access for live matches. Any suggestions on how to fix would be welcome.

Maybe a stupid question but, do you have 'Real Player' installed?

As for the OP's question: the initial problems now seem to have been ironed out. My only gripe is that the Radio Solent commentary is very, very, poor (yes, even much worse than Radio Hampshire ever was).

Being an ex-pat this is my only life-line to get match commentary so I do grudgingly put up with it, as it is (just) better than nothing.

Yup, have Real Player installed -- and use Real Player for other streams so I know it works. Just tired to connect to the live commentary using my wife's computer (Vista) but have the same problem. Think it could be my internet connection as I am in remote Canada and access the net over a satellite dish -2.5mb download (but SaintsTV always worked). Will try from a non-satellite dish connection next week.
