sad saints fan Posted 16 December, 2009 Share Posted 16 December, 2009 After Bialkowsi fine performances of late AP is gonna have a rather nice problem when Kelvin is fit again. Bart man was again very good last night and if anything seems stronger on crosses than Kelvin but his distribution is still quite poor.If he continues to play the way he is will it affect his confidence if Kelvin comes straight back? How would KD feel about not being automatic first choice? Sometimes its good to be a fan not a manager:)
saints_is_the_south Posted 16 December, 2009 Share Posted 16 December, 2009 Raised this point with a mate this morning too. If Bart is in form then I trust Kelvin's proffesionalism not having a problem with him keeping his spot & at the moment he deserves to do so. Nice to have the problem though, 2 very good keepers both playing in a division below their standard.
Foxstone Posted 16 December, 2009 Share Posted 16 December, 2009 I'm sure Pards will pick the team on form and merit ! The great thing as you have mentioned is that we have two good keepers, and we do not have to rush Kelvin back to fitness either!

Now, what were we all saying about the RB position...............
Scummer Posted 16 December, 2009 Share Posted 16 December, 2009 Bart looks a bit shaky to me. Doesn't seem to like going in at people's feet. Sould have done better with their second goal I feel. There was something similar on Saturday where he went down, spilled it and it bounced off the Tranmere player for a goal kick.

I can recall a time when we had keepers who could never save a penalty from one season to the next. Bart saved ..3 (?)...in the space of a few minutes., and we found 6 players who could score from the spot Is this a record ?

From where I was sat it looked like Holt had hold of his arm, stopping him from getting back up.
Toadhall Saint Posted 16 December, 2009 Share Posted 16 December, 2009 Should do the world of good for Barts confidence - can only be a good thing to have competition for places!
Genk Posted 16 December, 2009 Share Posted 16 December, 2009 If we continue our league run of winning games then I can't see Pardew bringing Davis in until Bart has a shocker. Like you said, it's great to have the problem of two good keepers!
