It's There Posted 7 February, 2010 Share Posted 7 February, 2010 “The league is more important” is a quote often written, but it misses the point. Each match has the opportunity to shape our day, even week, maybe month, but it is foolish to look too far ahead. Winning on Tues in the JTP will allow Saints fans to visit Wembley- only the second time in 31 years…and an opportunity to win a Trophy. Ok so it’s not the league or FAC, but it is something!! Winning breeds good habits…the more success we have the more it will shape the future and then maybe lead to promotion in the next 3 years (hopefully less). But for all who cry, it’s not important, STOP- just enjoy the moment, let a smile go across your face, and let’s propel our team to Wembley!! doddisalegend Posted 7 February, 2010 Share Posted 7 February, 2010 oh far to sensible for this forum. Good post I just like watcing/listening to saints play football it can be fun (no really), it's something some saints fans seem to have lost in they're desperate need for promotion. Arizona Posted 7 February, 2010 Share Posted 7 February, 2010 I agree. Scratching my arse now is more important than dreaming about what might happen on Tuesday.

NorthamSteve Posted 8 February, 2010 Share Posted 8 February, 2010 He's right you know. In my 20th season as a ST holder, I've been lucky with some of the things I've witnessed. But I've never seen real success in any season. - Obviously successes in relegation battles and getting to 2 cup finals, but not in the true sense of the word. I'm gonna strap myself in now for the next few, includng the rest of this one, and enjoy it. These things don't happen very often to Southampton. I'm pretty sure it would be the 3rd time at Wembley in 31 years. -I imagine you're forgetting the ZDS....
