Bailey Posted 29 September, 2008 Share Posted 29 September, 2008 Just a quick question really. Does anyone have any idea when these 3 will be deemed fit enough for selection? I think we could do with having a look at Gasmi as we need a bit of cover for Lallana in the hole.
Saint2Hotty Posted 29 September, 2008 Share Posted 29 September, 2008 I beleive robertson is fit for selection but pulis and Gasmi have I beleive both got broken metertarsels (sp). Gasmi is still in France at the moment being treated so I dont think he has met or trained with the team yet!
VectisSaint Posted 29 September, 2008 Share Posted 29 September, 2008 I think they will have to give Pulis a squad number before he can be selected. I reckon that will be about Christmas time as we cannot currently afford new numbers.
ottery st mary Posted 29 September, 2008 Share Posted 29 September, 2008 Someone mentioned three Footballers in plaster caste had been seen at The General Hospital in Southampton. You may well ask about Saints and the NHS. Well to be fair we are on cutbacks all round at the Saints. iF IT is our three xmas signings then save the numbers for the moment it would only be an assessment under the NHS and the waiting list is 18 months long. ottery st mary Posted 29 September, 2008 Share Posted 29 September, 2008 Terry Paine is hopefully on his way to Southampton from South Africa in the near future for his book signing etc. My suggestion would be to give him a team number whilst he is here and get a couple of games out of him.At least he is fit even at 60 ish he probably could play better than the three missing young players. Then do a video of Painey and show it to Dyer if he returns from Sheffield. Even at 60 he should show young Dyer what real wing play is required. By my reckoning Paine would be a lot closer to 70 than 60, but agree with the sentiment.

Not forgetting Sir Syd on the other wing and promotion is ours for the taking.
DT Posted 29 September, 2008 Share Posted 29 September, 2008 It would have been much better if you had written Robertson, Pulis or Gasmi. That would have sounded more like an adult movie, methinks.

Saint Charlie Posted 29 September, 2008 Share Posted 29 September, 2008 Pulis can't be far away. Him and Gasmi have had a month since they signed and both were injured at least a couple of weeks before that, so mid August. I think we will see them following the international break which provides a great way of integrating them into the squad.

saintrich Posted 29 September, 2008 Share Posted 29 September, 2008 JP has said that Jason Euell is a week or two away from full fitness, whilst Gasmi and Pulis will be out of action for around 3 to 4 weeks.

miserableoldgit Posted 29 September, 2008 Share Posted 29 September, 2008 According to Solent Robertson may start tomorrow as John (and MS) are both out with injuries.

Pity its not John Robertson, we could do with a real Left winger whilst Holmes is injured and Surman finds his feet again. Not sure if Jordan is match fit yet. Interesting decision. Knowing the CPS they would wait at least another month to be on the safe side?
Andy_Porter Posted 29 September, 2008 Share Posted 29 September, 2008 Robertson and Pekhart upfront? Nah would probably be McGoldrick and Robertson if he's starting.
CHAPEL END CHARLIE Posted 29 September, 2008 Share Posted 29 September, 2008 Welcome to SFC Jordan Robertson , I bet you didn't know (or care) that you are the 53rd different player to join and/or leave the club in the last year or so :smt103 . Your wicked sugestion has me contacting my Lawyer at Gasmi, Pulis and Robertson in London Road for civil litigation...You really are naughty. PS Mine does not fit anymore.. Will be nice to see the new boys in our colours this season at least playing for the reserves to see if they can make the step to our first team.
