Now he's got a few games under his belt what do people think of our new rightback?

I like him looks cool and calm on the ball, knows what he's about. Played well yesterday I thought. All though typically after I said that to my son yesterday he put in a couple of shocking passes. All in all though I think it's nice to have a good solid right back in the right back postion.

Decent enough, but i find him slow and against real pace i think he could really struggle.

Otsemebor wasn't great, but he offered us that pace to recover on the break. Our defence is very very slow now, in fact the team is. We've lost all the pace we had last year.

Good in defence but too slow to provide any kind of attacking treat. The right winger in front of him can charge forward safe in the knowledge someone will be behind him but he is not going to overlap too much. I think he will make a better holding midfielder.

thats fair comment it's always the problem with right /left backs though the attacking ones like Semi are always leaving you exposed at the back. The question is do you want your backs defending or attacking? for me first job should be defence.

i think he is a good player, and put in 2 of the best early crosses of the game. jadia had a shocker though, again - in fact i don't think that left corner of defence is operating right. harding likes to get forward too much and leave jadia exposed. i'm all for going forward but someone needs to drop in to the LB position as jadia can't cope.

this team management is easy from the stand ain't it!!! haha

Yep, overall I think he had a great day. His oppo on their left wing was taller than him (and their goalie launched many kicks that way in the 1st half), but Butterfield had him in his pocket pretty much all game in the air. It was only when they started playing the ball on the deck that we started to look a bit wobbly.

Personally i was very disapointed in him .. time and time again he never made life difficult enough for the wide man to send a cross in//was standing too far off his man making it easy for him to deliver..,. needs to get much closer to deny the oppprtunity to cross the ball . To be fair tho if those covering behind him werent giving him the information that "cover was on" he would naturally stand off .

I also thought there were a few times when he stood off the winger too much and gave them the time to measure their cross.

Much improved on Otsemobor. Very clever player and makes up for lack of pace and height by being positionally superior. Got a good cross on him too. Pleased to have him, but yet to see Richardson play, and I presume he will be first choice.
