As well as the obvious missing pace and cutting edge going forward, this club needs a genuine leader on the pitch. We've been crying out for one for years now and manager after manager has not taken action. Let's hope Adkins does.

we lost all momentum in the summer when we released 13 players and only brought 3 in

 

more importantly we failed to replace Waigo and Antonio - two key players who gave us both width and pace and could play bwide or up front - massively weakening the team

 

the players, the fans and the manager knew the team needed strengthening over the summer to win the League this season and guarantee promotion - and when this failed to happen everbody's heads went down

 

I still don't really understand why this happened but I think it led to Pardews sacking - which along with Liebherrs' passing away has thrown the club backwards

What??? Butterfield has been very impressive imo... Yet to see him do much wrong. Agree about Puncheon though. He gets in the right places but it is guaranteed that every time he has it he will shoot and miss or give it away through being on the ball too long..oh or he will make a bad pass.

 

Ditch Jaidi (slow), Mills (Pointless) connolly (Had his day and knocked off ball too easily)......
