Tractor_Saint Posted 25 April, 2011 Share Posted 25 April, 2011 I've got a spare childs season ticket that I want to upgrade to an adults ticket. Trying to get through to the ticket office but no ones picking up at the moment. Has anyone done this before? Is it possible? Should I just do a walk up to the TO this afternoon to upgrade it? TIA for any advice.
niceandfriendly Posted 25 April, 2011 Share Posted 25 April, 2011 They never, ever check if it's an adult or a child. Just tear off the match day ticket and give it to the steward. This also works if you wish to sit in another part of the ground... they don't check. As long as you only give them the paper part then you'll be fine. for_heaven's_Saint Posted 25 April, 2011 Share Posted 25 April, 2011 As said above, you could probably get away with not changing it, but yes it is possible to upgrade it, I think if you do it at the ticket office they will take your season ticket and give u another ticket, then you get the ST back after the game, so you can't use it twice. The Cat Posted 25 April, 2011 Share Posted 25 April, 2011 They will do it, or at least they used to as a friend of mine worked in the ticket office a few years ago and told me it could be done. They even used to do the reverse, swap an adult for child ticket and give you the difference back in cash. Might be wise to get down there early if you are planning on doing this though. Alternatively just do as the post above. They never check, well not in the Kingsland anyway.
Colinjb Posted 25 April, 2011 Share Posted 25 April, 2011 It is unlikely they'll check, although the family stand where I sit does seem to at least always glance at the paper ticket in the front.
Ian the Red Posted 25 April, 2011 Share Posted 25 April, 2011 All they check is that you are in the correct area of the ground. Have had my son's ticket used, its a young adult, by mates throughout the season and after a couple of games of being honest and telling the guys on the turn styles that it was a young adult ticket and it was being used by an adult they simply said as long as its in the right part of the ground. If worried ask the bloke at the gate.
