corky morris Posted 30 June, 2011 Share Posted 30 June, 2011 Really not sure what to make of this. He clearly has the ability to bag goals, but £3.25m is way to expensive, particularly when DJ Campbell is available for £1.25m & he scored 13 goads in the prem....................................... Nah, they all know that we'll be getting some swans for OxC very soon and want to take some of it from us. Just got this sort of niggling feeling that if this hadn't been the man that got NA out of League 1 when he was a neophyte manager we wouldn't have bid anywhere near as much (although perhaps we didn't). I really can't see that Sharp is anything exceptional, front man is a place I'd have thought we were fairly well provided at although Barney and Lambert might not do it for us.Guly and Connolly could probably score at least as many goals as Sharp given full season on the pitch. Lighthouse Posted 30 June, 2011 Share Posted 30 June, 2011 Would rather take Nugent on a free than pay £3m plus for Sharp.
