Male only membership golf clubs

Given the British Open is about to start tomorrow, the usual suspects are jumping up and down about a form of aparthied between male only golf clubs , Muirfield including

Im suprised that during the debate there is no mention of the fact there are female only member golf clubs scattered through out the UK.

Instead of focussing purely on the male only aspect reproters should do there research and see that males do not have total exclusivity to golf clubs

Oh and if women want a level playing field then they should play of the same tees as men

It's a load of ********. Anybody who thinks average Lady members could enjoy playing courses like Muirfield etc are living in cloud cuckoo land. Unless the tees were placed really forward the average Lady wouldn't even want to play courses of that difficulty. It would be only top class Ladies that would get round with a golf score. If anybody thinks that is a sexist comment I'll take it a stage further even the average male would find it too difficult. This is a political football with the idiots like Miller and Salmond trying to make an issue out of a non issue. What about the fact that there are more Ladies only clubs than Men only clubs being totally ignored. As a seven day a week golfer I'm absolutely in favour of Ladies only courses. It's a shame there aren't a few in this area. As a final word if anyone wants a female free golfing environment, visit the practice ground, somewhere most of them never go, need I say more.

It's like the MOBO Awards all over again! I bet they would complain if we had a Music of White Origin Awards! It's PC gone mad gone mad. I'm fed up of the discrimination against white men. It's despicable what we have to put up with and nobody is prepared to fight against all the terrible injustices that we have to suffer, like letting women into our golf clubs and bad stuff like that. It's time we all took a stand.

There is a certain level of ingratitude that only women can display evident here. They bleat on, in their usual way, about equal rights but they're too daft to understand that its for their own good that we won't allow them to play the courses that are just too hard for them. What do they want? It's like they want to be humiliated by playing on courses that aren't suitable. I do sometimes wonder whether this is the old "beaten wife" scenario - moaning about something that men are only doing for their own good. Women, if they must play golf, should have separate courses or pitch and putt. I and many other golfers don't want to see woman struggling around a golf course that is too difficult for them, losing a bit of their self esteem with each terrible shot. Keep them out and then both sexes can be happy. Lets not bow to the PC, lefty, rainbow brigade on this one.

I notice that all of the female SWF posters are conspicuously absent from this thread.

In fact, come to think of it, most of them seem to have disappeared anyway.

We all know Sue Whistle will be playing football, skiing, swimming in Lake Garda or something else extraordinary. BTF will be desperately scouring the Sunday papers for a new crusade to boycott something she can tell us about later on and JillyAnne will still be trying to get her money for her pussy out of Dark Sotonic Mills. Either that or they're all playing golf somewhere.

Seriously, none of them seem to have been on here for ages. I guess the washing-up really accumulates in this hot weather.
