"As time started to run out, the game looked to be heading for a draw, but recent signing, Jack BOYLE had other ideas as he scored a magnificent goal which deservedly won the game.

"Boyle, who started the second half on the left wing, was switched to the right with 20 minutes to go and the decision paid off as the Jersey starlet went on a menacing run, taking on three players in the process, before unleashing a fierce shot across the goalkeeper into the top corner with five minutes remaining.

"Jack Boyle scored a great goal," Wotte enthused. "I switched him with Kayne McLaggon to pose a threat on the right hand side and it paid off as he scored the goal from fully 25 yards out after showing some good skill to get in that position."

I am pleased for Boyle and even for good old Wildey.

Let us hope the lad makes the grade in some shape or form.

My only niggle and personal opinion. A reserve game/friendly may well be just to give the lads a run out after injury etc.

But in my opinion we should be giving the lads training and preperation for the rough and tumble of whatthey will get in the CCC.

When I read Wotteys comment, "Credit to Exeter, they came and played football the right way which made it a worthwhile exercise for us." Then I wonder if we play these sort of games too often no wonder the lads struggle when they come up against the big boys.

I think Mr Wottey is missing the point IMO

But anyway best of luck to Boyley.

Merry xmas Wildey

"even Sarmiento, Arias and Challa would have gotten into this side!"

Sarmiento plays for a Greek team and, as playmaker, has guided his team to wins in the UEFA Cup. He didn't get a proper chance here.

You're right probably shouldn't have included him, he looked half decent when I saw him against Notts County in the Carling cup was a shame the rest of the team didn't turn up that night! The other two would probably be pretty decent for us in our current situation too so I guess the real question is where is Imnats Bliedellis when we need him?
