Saints 'didnt want him enough' In todays game i suspect it means we didnt want to pay a kings ransom for him, where Watford did.

The fans showed they wanted him and so he snubbed us as much as he did the club.

He would never be a Saints player as long as he has a whole in his .....

He looks good but there is a common thread he played for S****horpe -relegated , he played for us looks like we may well be and now Watford are in the mix, strange game football.

Comes back to the common theme of false economy Nick.

Lowe has been practicising it all season.

I would rather him have stayed but we dont know what the wages loan fee was to be.

You have to face up to the fact that the club is just about in the category of a Big Issue seller. As soon as there was a contest for his services we were always going to come second.

Cork cannot say he was not given a wonderful reception by the fans and so his words about not wanting him ring hollow to me.

I want Jan gone and RL is making a bad mistake not doing so.I cannot support his reasoning on that, but i do support him trying to cut our cloth.

The time is shortly coming when Lowe will not be able to set foot in this city ,let alone SMS.

It is going to get ugly.

Its 11 men kicking a bag of wind against 11 mercenaries from another town. We are old enough to understand that.

Well done Stanley.

But if i were you i would save your energy until our next game at SMS.It will have more impact and Lowe will be more likely to be there.

Also i can join in. LOL.

Home games aren't an option for me i'm afraid. I've not been all season and i won't go again until Lowe and Wilde are gone.

Well Crouch actually put money into the club.

Lowe has only ever taken money out.

You decide who was the better Chairman.

Though i think Wilde and the executives he brought in were a disaster.

But who then got Lowe back into Saints?

Would you trust Wilde?

When did he do that??

P.S. paying for the statue isn't putting money into the club.

think he meant singing never got rid of Lowe, there hasn't been any anti lowe chants yet but even if they build over the next few months he won't care.

i agree with you NickG.

Singing anti Lowe chants wont mean a thing to him,but it makes those who sing them feel better and it shows the weak ,pathetic board that us fans are not happy.

After all, apart from not attending, what else can we do?

personally, as its meant to be for sport and enjoyment, I like to try and stay as positive as I can and get some enjoyment from the game rather than winding myself up about things out of my control (whilst hoping for a new united and rich! board)

Well i think it is.

Do you think Lowe would have paid a penny towards a statue commemorating one of the greatest icons in Southamptons history?

No hes already shown what type of person he is and what SFC really means to him, when he replaced the picture of LM holding the FA Cup with a bloody train.

Again i find myself agreeing with you.

I used to go to watch Saints for the enjoyment and the social side of things.

Believe me all i want to do is to go to SMS and watch Saints give it their all.

Win,lose or draw(hopefully win),all i want is to support my team.

But because of Lowe and his way of effecting and having a negative effect on all things Saints, its hard to ignore him and his actions.

No I don't think Lowe would have paid for the statue as the original abortion was paid for by the fans and not the club.

Crouch paid for the replacement as a fan, I suppose that the statue could be referred to as an asset, but who owns it?

As for that picture surely one of the team that won it would be more appropriate than one individual holding the cup. IMO of course.

Fair comment and a valid point.

If it was up to me i would have a picture of the FA Cup winning team all over the stadium,so hopefully it could install some pride and belief in what can happen if managed properly.

from the sky sports review of Reading v Watford...

Kebe played in Rosenior down the right and his cross was criminally not cut out by Jack Cork in front of Loach to allow Doyle to flick in his 17th - and easiest - of the campaign from three yards.

Does anyone need reminding that we took Reading to school at times at their place and could and perhaps should have beaten them at ours?

Don't let the facts get in the way of a good moan eh?!! ;)

Perhaps, but quite indubitably either is better than a ****ing train from Doncaster.

And getting rid of Lowe worked well eh

Yep! As far as I can remember we reached the pay-offs when he wasn't here.

As opposed to ending up mid-table (with our strongest squad in the CCC) and probably (but hopefully not) being relegated with him at the helm.

Take it you didn't watch the game then?

Watford had more possession but defended poorley. Scoreline flattered Reading who played poorly but took chances.

Cork played in midfield and was outstanding acccording to commentators.

I agree with the sentiments BUT it is not any old picture of a train but a gift to the club in respect that we were honoured to be first to play at their new stadium. If they had given us a pennant would we throw it in a drawer. I suspect RL took it that the club should respect another clubs gesture and put it up in the boardroom.Afterall the fans never go in there and probably only officials of other clubs who would understand.

as for the picture of LM, i would like it put up in the stadium alongside pictures of WGS Hoddle,Ball, and any other manager who walked out on us for greener pastures.
