David Strover Posted 20 January, 2009 Share Posted 20 January, 2009 The fact he has waited until we've played fourteen home games and won one and we are mired deeply at the bottom of the table looking (along with Charlton) the most likely club to get relegated to call a meeting (pubilicly anyway) shows how much of a hand on the tiller he really has. Pathetic. Wait until it's too late and act. Unless twerp.

alpine_saint Posted 20 January, 2009 Share Posted 20 January, 2009 What exactly is the meeting supposed to achieve ? Has the reason for our shiite home form been in front of all their noses all the time, and is a straightforward thing to correct, or is it due to the fundamental shiiteness of teh squad amplified by the fundamental shiiteness of the tactics and the fundamental shiiiteness of the morale in the squad ? Along with the breaking story that Hockaday is basically gone (bust-up amongst the coaching staff or with Lowe ???), the lingering story about Wotton's bust-up with JP, and this rumour of a mystery "advisor" in the shadows, and the full magnitude of the complete f**king shambles at SMS reveals itself. Time for direct surgery on the problem at SMS. Lowe has to go.

David Strover Posted 20 January, 2009 Share Posted 20 January, 2009 ....oh and anyone logging onto here or the OS looking for news of big changes and a new 'way forward' is going to be severely disappointed. There will just be some more rhetoric which will involve some hilarious claptrap from Jan about how we are possibly the best team in the division and even more hilarious garbage from Wupert saying how our youth policy is the envy of the whole league and if we stick at it we will come good and finish high up the table "....just look at Arsenal". he'll say, "they are sticking with youth and not splashing out in the transfer market, proof that my, sorry our, way is the correct way." He will also say the fans need to get behind the coach and the team and everyone is pulling in the right direction and it will come good. We will then continue to lose games hand over fist and get relegated long before the season is over. Next season Stockport County, Hereford United et al will be winning games easily at SMS and looking like bigger and better organised clubs than us. The future is bright, the future is rosy red cheeked and has brilliant business acumen.

Not so sure. Cowen is understood to be seriously underwhelmed by it all. Wilde was so stunned and scared he had to be escorted out and Jones will go with the flow. Lowe certainly will support Poortvliet, but I think there may well be a push from the others to change things. It's whether Lowe will bute the bullet and admit he got it wrong (again). I can see that it is very possible that he is too stubborn and will plough on in an attempt to be proved right, so I can see where you're coming from, but I just think it's now come to a head and soemthing needs to be done. Not sure what some of the othe power brokers think e.g. Richards & Askham etc, but understand they're not particularly phased by the demonstrations, probably just dismissing them as a minority in the same way they did with the Branfoot protests. They only got jittery when people withdrew their custom.

David Strover Posted 20 January, 2009 Share Posted 20 January, 2009 I hope for the club's sake you are correct UP but I can't see the man admitting HIS idea is utter claptrap. um pahars Posted 20 January, 2009 Share Posted 20 January, 2009 Personally, and it's only my opinion, I think it's way too late now anyway. My concern as well. I'm worried that the spirit has gone, the youngsters have been blooded too early & their progress set back, the transfer window wasted etc etc etc. That said, other teams have managed to turn things around, Forest are 5th in the 8 game Current Form Table and Doncaster 9th, so here's hoping. saint_bert Posted 20 January, 2009 Share Posted 20 January, 2009 Lowe refused to speculate on what the outcome of the meeting could be and whether Poortvliet’s position could be at risk. However, he said whatever decisions were reached had to be in the best interests of the club. “We have got to do what is right for the club,” he said. How about you f**k right off then rupes

aintforever Posted 20 January, 2009 Share Posted 20 January, 2009 Lowe could salvage the situation, he just has to admit he was wrong, sack Poortvleit, apologise to the fans and appoint a decent manager. If the team look like they are turning it around the Lowe out aggro will stop.
