Followed F1 through the 80’s and early 90’s, it was a Sunday tradition listening to Murray Walker and James Hunt.

Hey you forgot “A Mars a day helps you work rest and play”! Without a doubt a legend of the highest order. Rest in Peace - Murray 😢
Lighthouse Posted 13 March, 2021 Share Posted 13 March, 2021 I still can't watch this without feeling a little emotional. RIP Murray.
Mystic Force Posted 15 March, 2021 Share Posted 15 March, 2021 My kid who never got to revel in the glory of Murray in real time knew all about him from watching old race clips seemed to have a soft spot for him. Not always the most accurate, but in a time where the information available to the broadcaster was a lot more limited, and with a habit of condemning drivers engines to a fiery end with a word, half of the fun was listening to the legend that was Murray Walker, because in all the time I have watched over half of the races in a season were of the dull variety, so it was nice to have something to keep the interest up. No one I have heard since has managed to communicate the same excitement, even if they have been more accurate.
